Great pen
Great pen - writes smoothly and cleanly. Requires much less pressure than ballpoint pens I've used in the past, and ink flow is always good, even when I've accidentally left the cap off for an hour or two. I haven't gotten any large blotches of ink, which happens sometimes with ballpoints. Very fine, excellent for note taking, writing, small sketches, etc. However, if your hands are slightly damp, they'll smear ink that hasn't dried immediately after writing. Some small gripes - the cap is made of a hard, brittle plastic, and tends to form small cracks. The cap also doesn't have any holes in it, which might be a choking hazard around children.Edit: I accidentally bent the thin metal tip on one of these about 45 degrees when I was trying too hard to scribble something. Bent it back, then accidentally pushed it all the way into the plastic head when attempting to get it to write again. Had to use an Xacto knife to cut off some of the plastic, and it still works, ink flow is great, although it sometimes starts a little dry as the little rubber cap in the cap no longer contacts the metal tip. 5 stars.

Some of the Best Pens Made…. Ever
Most of the time with rollerball pens you’re trying to get something that writes with clear, dark lines that don’t skip, without the ink bleeding to the other page. This is very hard to find, and for cost reasons I imagine most pen makers opt instead to give a range of pen sizes not only fit width preference, but for ink control. Enter the v5 and V7 rollerball pens. These have been extremely popular because of the clear, bold lines they produce, but both seriously suffer from ink bleeding to the other side and sometimes the next page. So if you want to use their pens, the compromise is thicker per or skipping gets ina notebook. However, with the P-500 the issue isn’t present, and for the most part you still get clear dark lines that don’t skip. The pens are a bit shorter than the V series, I don’t know the decision there. So m, they’re probably more difficult to hold, a problem that probably contributed to their lack of comparable popularity.Look, you won’t like them if you have fat fingers, otherwise these are best in class.

Best Pen Ever!
Absolutely the best pens I’ve found. They may seem pricey but each pen lasts a long time The ink comes out smooth, never skips or stops after a few minutes of use. The ink dries incredible fast. I have been using this brand for 6 years and the extra fine point with the gel ink make writing a pleasurable experience. I initially thought that I’d lose the cap that comes on the pens and it hasn’t happened. I like the weight & ergonomic design. It decreases hand & wrist fatigue. I’ve never had one of these pens leak inside a pocket. After using these, regular ballpoint pens just seem inferior. I will continue to buy these and recommend them to others.

I love these
These are like pencils, but much darker, which I love. I use these for school and prefer them whenever I need to write anything. I used to hate writing things out but now I find excuses to write things down (improving my grades a little bit!). The flow is consistent, except for the one I left without the cap on it for two days, dried out completely. (KEEP THE PEN CAPS) I also love that the line is very crisp and precise, and makes other pens seem sloppy in comparison. I haven't seen these anywhere but amazon, so I will definitely repurchase these when I run out and maybe look into the colored pens as well. PS when I showed these to my mom, someone who has owned a large number of quality pens, she said that the pens weren't weighted very well and that the pen was too light. But for someone who writes a LOT I think I prefer this, and the quality of the ink makes up for it.

I really love these pens
These are some of the best pens that I have ever sued. The ink is bright and the line is solid and clean and does not skip. I wish that they were clickers though, because I have a bad habit of losing caps off of pens and never finding them again. Otherwise these are perfect and have a nice feel and weight in the hand. The design is simple and elegant and they write for ages before you have to replace them. A very good buy for someone who writes a lot and wants to keep their hand from cramping.

THE Go-To Pen for Me
The Pilot P-500 Extra-fine Pen has been my go-to pen for over two decades. I have always found these pens to be reliable, and if you enjoy extra fine writing, I heartily suggest you try it. I use the black ink version almost exclusively, but there is a four color set consisting of red, blue, black, and green. I had one in purple as well, but I'm not sure if that color is still available. I only wish that the P-500 came in the same color variety as the Pilot Precise V5 RT.On a final note, I have found Pilot's customer service to be first rate, at least based on an experience I had 20+ years ago. I contacted the company sincerely complimenting this pen, and told them that I was surprised that I'd gotten a rare bad set with many of the P-500s glob on the paper. Normally I wouldn't complain to a company, but I was writing my wedding thank you notes and only had a limited number of the cards that matched my wedding invitations; sending globby, smear written notes wasn't really acceptable. Upon receipt of my complaint, the company was quick to apologize and sent out four or five pens to me to replace the defective pens that I had to throw out. Because I rarely take the step of complaining about a product, I was pleasantly surprised to receive anything in return. That response served to cement my appreciation of the company and of this pen specifically.
