So refreshing I love it!

I'm not super versed in this type of product, I've only used a few, but this was exactly like the others. It has a signature slippery feel that's unique to primers, fills the pores, and leads to an even make up application. Maybe it's the way I'm applying it, but every primer I've ever used also means that the makeup comes off easier with friction (i.e. glasses) and that was still the case with this. I have to think it's me, because I've tried three primers so far and they'll do the same thing. So I don't think it's unique to this product.It didn't make me break out, which I appreciate, the smell wasn't overwhelming, and it got the job done. I don't think it's reinventing anything, I don't think it's groundbreaking, but it works as well as any other primer and the price is much better. You also get a decent amount which is never bad. I would check the ingredients, and the brand, to make sure that you align with what is being sold. I received the product for free, and I'll definitely be using it, but I think the brand is something to note for others who might be investing.Overall, it's not bad. I'll continue to use it and get back to updating the review if anything else happens.

This is phenomenal. I like that it’s both a before primer and an after sealer. It has no lingering scent to it and my makeup stays on a lot longer than it does if I don’t use it. It’s very cooling and the mist is fine and a little goes a long way when using it. I just spray once for each side of my face, one for my center, one for my forehead, and one for my neck. I've used several primers and sealers and this one is by far the best I've used. At the current Amazon price of $7.99 it’s also the cheapest primer I’ve used. It’s definitely worth it! UPDATE: 6/15/2025 I realized I left this out: this is actually a gel that magically turns into a fine mist when you spray it on your face. I have absolutely NO idea how that works, but it does and it doesn’t take a lot. After using it for a longer period of time now, I can tell you I’ve grown to love it even more. It’s truly a great product.

I’ll admit it—I started out with a bias. The price was so low and since it’s made in China, I assumed it couldn’t be any good.I couldn’t have been more wrong. I absolutely love it.The product has a gel-like look to it, but it sprays out as a super fine mist. The scent is light and fresh, not overpowering at all. I use it as a primer by spraying it on my face before applying foundation. Then I gently smooth it over my skin with my fingers to help it settle evenly.I don’t usually spray it again after I finish my makeup, and yet it still works beautifully. There’s no makeup transfer on my phone after I talk, and when I touch my face, my makeup stays in place. Even more impressive, my makeup looks smoother and more flawless than usual.Overall, I really love this product. It performs so well for such a low price, and it’s now part of my regular routine. You truly can’t beat the value.

My first impression when I took this out of the package was that it would be thick or hard to apply. I did not realize that it was a fine mist and not a thick serum-type primer. I was quickly pleasantly surprised by how my total makeup looked and held up throughout the day. I am not a fan of silicone primers as I think they clog pores, but it's such a popular ingredient, I guess for more of a blurring effect. Everything, both creams and powders, laid down nice on top of this and I didn’t have any issues with shine breaking through throughout the day.

To preface, I have normal/combo skin in the warmer months. I normally use my Nyx matte setting spray with a matte primer to keep the oils down on my T-zone. My favorite gripping primer is the hard candy hydragrip. So, that’s what I’m comparing to for this spray. The mist is very fine and soft, half the time I have to open an eye when I spray to see if anything came out. For that reason, you won’t be feeling much of the gripping component, especially after dry down. As a setting spray, I think it’s nice as an everyday setter. It’s not that oil controlling tbh, so I wouldn’t get this for that. Instead, I think it’s perfect for layering or touch ups to refresh because of how hydrating and fine the mist is. It’s a great water-based option too, if that’s what you’re looking for :)

This SHEGLAM Good Grip primer will last a while! I'm new to primers, having previously used hairspray on my face, so I'm looking forward to switching. The bottle is pretty. I used this for an all-day outing in the heat, and I had less slippage of my foundation. For some reason, I read "prime & set," thought this came with two products, but it's just one bottle. Nevertheless, it's an excellent value for the amount of product you get.

I saw this floating around on social media and finally gave in—and I’m glad I did. The jelly texture is so unique (don’t worry, it sprays on as a fine mist), and it actually feels like it’s giving your skin a hydrating hug. I love that it has aloe and hyaluronic acid, so it doesn’t dry me out like other setting sprays sometimes do.Here’s how I use it: I do my BB cream and blush, spray this on, let it dry, and then tap on a little SPF mineral powder to finish. My makeup stays put all day, even through work, and my skin still feels fresh—not greasy or cakey.Big bonus: it’s oil- and silicone-free and cruelty-free. I’d absolutely buy it again!
