They work well for the price.
Review of Reccazr MP2000 Stereo 2.0 Wired Multimedia Speakers, USB Powered 3.5mm Aux Small PC Laptop Speakers with 4 Bass Diaphragm, YellowThese are small, light, plastic speakers. They have a pretty clear sound, but of course they don't really have much bass. With a frequency sweep I could hear basically 100Hz to 9Khz.They have hardwired cords coming from each speaker that join as a "Y" then on the other end split off as a 1/8" stereo plug, for audio, and a USB plug, for power. The total length is around 54". They don't have a power switch, but they do have a volume control where the cord splits. They're clearly meant to just plug into an audio jack and a neighboring USB port, powering up and down with the PC. Which totally works for me.I use them on my desktop PC, and they sound much better using the line out than the headphone out. They're OK for music, and work very well for watching YouTube videos. But if you need bass for certain music or for games, get something with a subwoofer.I didn't rate them as being the best PC speakers ever, I rated them for being good for powered speakers under $20. They'll hold me until I can get something more serious.

Good speakers for most people.
It’s funny how when I received these I was upset at the size and I was going to return them. I decided to give them a chance. I love the brushed plastic look, the design is really pretty... if you like simplistic styles. I plugged them in and I was slightly upset at first with the sound, but then I moved them on either side of my monitor and made sure the rubber part wasn’t touching anything and the sound was very nice. It’s a very directional sound. I think these speakers would be great for apartments. I can’t hear them in the bathroom (one room over) but I can hear them on the porch which is further. I think these are a good investment for someone who just wants some speakers and doesn’t want anything expensive or super fancy. I’m happy and when I realized that these were awesome I forgot about returning them. I’m very happy with these and the price was great.

You get what you pay for
The reviews state these sound good and are fairly loud, that is not true. They sound hollow and are not loud at all. If you have no speakers these will suffice but i wouldn't suggest them to a friend.

The deal is a steal.
Ive had these speakers for a few weeks now. I replaced a set of speakers with a sub woofer so that i could possibly get better volume control. I could not find a medium in my volume at all. It was either too loud or too quiet. I game and watch videos at the same time so volume control is important to me. These speakers did that. They are not huge so they fit just about anywhere which is nice. For the cost of these speakers you are getting an absolute steal. I cant say i would have bought them to jam out to heavy base music STRICTLY because they aren't made for that. But as far as "normal" listening these are fantastic. The ONLY thing about them that i do not like is that volume control is on the cord and not on the speaker. The cord is long enough so that i have easy access to it and I have an audio mixer which gives me independent volume control so it is not an issue for me. But that would be my only complaint. I would buy again without hesitation.

These speakers are decent, but I noticed several problems
The speakers were delivered to me just today and I've already decided to return them. The main problem is there is no off option for these speakers. As shown in the picture is the "simple knob button control" that is beyond simple. Since there is no off option the speakers continue to stay on and when it does the dial heats up like a butt cheek on a stick. That's not all folks. I switch between using my headphones and my speakers through Realtek software. (which is the main reason I needed an off switch) While I'm using my headphones the speakers give off a deafening POP every half a minute or so. A very loud pop even when the speaker dial is at its lowest. I could hear it from the opposite end of my house and my house is pretty damn wide.$16 for these speakers? Sound quality is totally fine and it is aesthetically pleasing until I realized what the logo was. I'm no expert on speakers, but these are worth $5 in my opinion and I'm being generous.I would not recommend using this for your computer. However, from other reviews, it seems to work well with T.V.s. Don't take my word for that though.

Horrible. Even at a low price.
I give 2* because they did work. Technically. Had they not worked at all, I'd had to have taken a star so I have to give 2...but barely. I had some decent Altec Lansing speakers but they were acting up. Thought I'd give these a try. They disclaim that they aren't like "professional" speakers or with powered subwoofers. Okay, that's like saying a Geo Metro isn't like a Ferrari. It's not. And it's not like most other cars either. The monitor/screen speakers I have are as good as these. My iphone speakerphone is probably as good. There just isn't any bass at all. I know, it's $20-$30, but somehow Bose makes base come out of smaller speakers. You do get what you pay for, and I didn't pay a lot, but I don't even think I got 20-$30 worth. Lesson learned, just spend a few dollars more and get something decent. It shows "USB powered!" Yippie. That is NOT like a powered subwoofer or powered speaker system apparently. I bought a USB power distribution hub just for this. I'll keep the hub (charging phones or whatever), but the speakers were plugged in for about 60 seconds. Tried talk radio. Tried a YouTube video. Sounded like all tweeter. And bad tweeter at that. Then I put on XM Sirius hip hop (to find something with bass). No bass at all. As bad as this hip hop song was, it was worse with these speakers. If you just need *something*, these are something. But I'd suggest spending a few extra dollars and getting something better.
