My son is autistic and insanely picky about food but popcorn is something he’s the most passionate about. He will only accept ACT II Movie Theater Butter microwave popcorn or popcorn straight from the movie theater. I got this for him for his 14th birthday and he hasn’t touched the microwave popcorn since! He’s obsessed. He enjoys preparing the popcorn himself, he’s very strict about unplugging after use and wiping down the burner plate. I bought giant containers of butter flavored oil and kernels for a fantastic price here on Amazon and I purchased Flavacol from our local Smart & Final for under $3. Considering how much popcorn he consumes on a regular basis, I am saving money! My goal was to find an alternative to microwave popcorn due to the carcinogenic chemicals that are in the bags which radiate into the popcorn itself when cooking. He says this tastes exactly like movie theater popcorn, I’ve tried it as well and I agree! Just like the real deal! This pops more than a microwave style bag so great for sharing or enjoying alone! Use your butter flavored oil as a drizzle after popping, just like the theaters! We haven’t had the need to shake while popping, just prep, set and wait. Makes zero mess! All is contained inside the unit. No burning. Pops literally almost 100% of the kernels with noooo burning! The most we’ve seen leftover are two half popped kernels and I’m gonna go ahead and blame that on the kernels themselves and not this machine! We are both so impressed and like I said he’s picky but so am I especially when purchasing a product I expect good use out of. 1000 stars!

Yeah so I don't have a microwave. Mine broke and I didn't buy another one because I didn't see the point. Until I started craving popcorn. But THEN I didn't want to buy a microwave just to do one thing so I bought a popcorn maker to only do one thing.Now I can't tell you what kind of plastic it uses, how likely it is to cause limping or three-eyed babies, night terrors or things that go bump in the night. But I can tell you this:It Pops Popcorn.If you put two tablespoons of oil and 1/3 of a cup of popcorn in here and wait you will get a bowl of popcorn. It will be fluffy it will be delicious. There are people who will say it will be stale but those people need to wait until the popcorn cools just a little bit because that's when the popcorn becomes crunchy. I use it everyday. It works super well as a popcorn maker. Makes an okay grilled cheese. You can probably fry an egg on it.Sometimes I use it with less oil and it's still pops. I love that it has an on/off switch unlike some of the other ones that I saw. I think it's worth the money. I think I paid less than 30 bucks. I don't put salt on popcorn. I use nutritional yeast so in that way it's actually better because it's low sodium for me.You know, it's a popcorn maker. It's not supposed to save the world or make sure you're not exposed to everything you've already been exposed to probably anyway. It's supposed to make popcorn.So, hey! I travel in a small camper so space matters. This little thing fits great. I love that is nests together and the cord wraps up and is out of the way. Makes perfect popcorn - I use avocado and coconut oil.

I wanted popcorn that didn’t come from a non stick container that contains no pfas. It makes great plain popcorn, quickly, nothing burnt. I just find the clear lid tough to clean . Too many ridges. The part that gets hot does clean easily with a paper towel. You can’t add butter or other flavoring until you transfer it to another bowl or you will be cleaning this forever.For those who don’t know, pfas is a forever chemical which can damage numerous parts of your body. Look up pfas on epa.gov.

Best purchase I’ve ever made. I will never go back to microwave popcorn. The popcorn is fresh days after making it and is used at least twice a week. Clean up and storage is a breeze! Whoever made this, THANK YOU.

This works so great. It's simple, it's fun to watch, and it's easy to clean. It pops pretty much all the kernels and we love it for movie night.

Beware: it doesn’t actually pop popcorn!! About a third of the kernels pop. The rest just burn. I’m so disappointed!!
