Not a good investment in shapewear
I purchased this to wear under a dress. The hope was for it to be a shapeweat that was not too firm. I was disappointed for a couple reasons: The waist was not very high, so cut into my stomach around the mid-section, which caused me to have the 'muffin top'. Also , there was no real control. Not sure where/ when I could use it.

These are comfortable and helped to smooth things out for me
I'm desperate for anything that will help give me a bit of a slimmer look as I've gained a lot of weight postpartum due to some related health issues. I hate wearing belly bands, as they sometimes hurt when too tight or anything that just goes all the way up to my bra. Most times they are uncomfortable. I finally wore this the other day, not expecting much since they seemed a little too light weight in comparison to something that would actually help to smooth me out. I'm impressed. Not only are these so soft and comfortable, but they helped to smooth out my stomach and back rolls. These are not miracle panties by any means, but considering the comfort and style, I love how much they helped. I was able to wear them without having to tug or feel uncomfortable. I ordered the large as my belly is currently bigger due to the weight gain, and the size fit perfect. Just note - these aren't meant to hide a belly, but to help smooth things out. They also went around my mid back, so if you have a lot of rolls, then be prepared for that as it might just push things up. Luckily my rolls are a little lower so it wasn't as bad. I'm planning to get a couple more of these because I loved them so much.

Waste of money
Well there is zero hold in these. I ordered a medium. Am 5’2 135 lbs. all in belly and chest extra weight. These are not even as good as plain basic high waisted panties. SO for what they cost and what they hold in which is NOTHING waste of money wear a swim bottom they have more support.

Panty made with Eco friendly recycled yarn that smooths me out in all the right places
I like this pair of shaping panties. Considering they are made of recycled nylon and spandex, they breathe well and don't feel like they're sticking to me. They have a wide no-roll waistband with a stay-in-place strip across the top. I like that it doesn't cut into my waist and cause a roll of fat above the top of the panty. It really does just smooth everything out and keep it from jiggling. They are very comfortable to wear. The lace is soft and not scratchy and there is a cotton crotch with no elastic on the edges so again nothing to cut into your skin.FYI the product information and the label says to hand wash, but I washed them in cold water in the washing machine using the delicate setting because I just don't do handwashing very much anymore. I also put them in the dryer on extra low with my other delicates and they were mostly dry in about 20 minutes. They turned out just fine and as these will be saved to wear with certain clothing, they won't need to be washed that often. The price is a bit high for these, but if you're looking for something to make you appear smoother in any body hugging clothing, they might just be worth it.

smoothing is good, shaping is not happening
The Maidenform Women's Eco Lace Firm Control Shaping, Moisture-Wicking, Mid-Brief Shapewear is comfortably smoothing, but it is not shaping me. I do have a protruding belly, the main reason Iordered this shapewear brief. I was hoping the panties would help to suck it in - unfortunately this is not happening. I have one from another well know brand and that one does have very strong firming capability. The elastic waist band has an inner rubber like coating that really sticks to your skin, but it prevents rolling. I ordered size L, based on the size table which goes by dress size and hip measurements only. I am 5'10" , 153 lbs, wear a 10/12, hips are 42, I wonder if M would have more firming effect. The price of $48 is quite steep, due to my experience I would not pay this much.

Needs half sizes...
Half sizes, I know they don't make them for clothes, but I'd really like it. I'm short, 5'1", between 130 and 140 pounds and pear shaped. I wear a 6 or 8 typically in pants, but sometimes a 4 or 10 because sizes are arbitrary.I'm on the edge of small or medium for these based on the sizechart. Amazon says medium would fit best. Medium is here and is a tad big in some spots. Legs fit well, but not firm support on my stomach and isn't tight at the waist which sounds ludacris but is true. I carry my weight in my thighs and backside. If you have a larger stomach rather than thighs, get the larger size. Larger thighs than stomach, get the smaller size.
