Smart Indoor Sprinkler Controller 8 Zone, WiFi Irrigation System Controller, Free APP, Support Rain Sensor (HO-SC-8W)

Took a gamble as I didn't want to spend over 100 on wifi enabled controller. Working excellent! I installed in 10 mins. All works amazing. App is great can control all zones, timing, scheduling, manual mode all from my phone (android) best 40 bucks spent.

I bought this on the 18th September, 2023 and after installing and setting it up, I was very pleased with how easy it was to program and use, both in scheduled and manual modes. The manual mode was very, very handy when adjusting the sprinkler heads as I could turn each zone on and off remotely, saving a trip back to the garage each time.Almost a year later, I was mystified by a shrill sound coming from the garage which turned out to be the alarm signal from the controller. I unplugged the power supply and due to other commitments, it was a couple of days later before I could do some trouble shooting.When I restored power, it looked like everything was back to normal but after about a minute, the alarm sounded again and the display showed "ti nE- Error", which I now understand means "Time Error". At first I noticed that it was not showing the correct time so I disconnected and reconnected to my wi-fi but the same thing happened. I also rebooted and tried a couple of other things but nothing helped.I then emailed support@inkbird.com, admittedly not expecting too much help but was pleasantly surprised to get a very quick response suggesting some things to try, most of which I had already done.I then was told that they would pass this on to their technical team and was asked for my Amazon Order #, which I duly gave.Shortly after that, I was told that they would send me a new controller and it arrived today. It didn't take long to swap the units over and everything is back to normal.I was very impressed with the level of support I received from Inkbird's Customer Service and would have no hesitation in recommending their products.

The Tuya-based system has very limited features, and the app is a nightmare to use. It’s clunky, slow, and confusing. If you’re looking for something truly smart, this isn’t it.

Easy to setup. I have had no issues with WiFi. Device is garage kept. I did have a failure at 13 months and within 3 days of initial email to support, I had a new device delivered. This works just as good as a device that costs 2-3x as much from my experience. If you have WiFi issues with it, maybe you need better WiFi coverage, that is not the devices fault. My garage door opener and this device are connected to the same router and I have no issues. I guarantee I’ve saved over $45 in water just by owning this the last 13 months. Worth the cost.

Con: The app interphase is a bit not-finished - the translations are so bad that half of them you have to try to guess what they may mean. And some of the menu items are actually off screen and you have to pretty much guess they are there.Pro: Slick looing controller. Controlling via internet a huge plus if you're away a lot. God customer support. Answered my questions immediately. Even though even their own person was showing me screenshots of a completely different interphase.In the end, decided to convert all our old mechanical controllers to these.

Customer service is 5 stars, had an issue with the controller sent an email and they responded within 1/2 hr…. Back and forth emails resulted in an issue that couldn’t be fixed and they sent a new controller out.. couldn’t be happier with the customer service.

Inkbird's Customer Service Support is a no-nonsense, customer-first organization. I emailed the manufacturer, and before the end of the day, I had a solution to my equipment issue. Thank you for the support on your product.

The media could not be loaded. After manually running my sprinklers for years, this thing has changed the game. It took a couple, tries to get it connected to the Wi-Fi, maybe like 30 minutes for full set up, but after that, everything was smooth sailing. The instructions are very thorough and downloading the app was a breeze. I set up my program to water twice a day in alternating intervals and so far everything seems great. Haven’t had a rainy day to test the rain sensor since I have set it up but I am looking forward to watching it do its magic. Being able to control it from the phone app is awesome because I can do it from anywhere without having to walk to the side of the house to manually do it. I can just walk around the yard with my phone, and if I want to manually engage a zone, I click a button and boom. If I am out of town, I can still run everything or make changes to my schedule. This will change your garden game!
