The media could not be loaded. We have a wood burning stove as our main source of heat. I have been using a full size blow torch to start the fire daily. I was hoping to find something just as effective but on a smaller scale. I am psyched I came across this culinary torch. I realize it is actually made for food and such but that is not what I intend on using it on right now. It was super easy for me to fill with butane and let me tell you I am generally mechanically inclined. I was also able to start my fire last night with absolutely no issues. It is very easy to use and fit comfortably in my hand. You are able to control the flame height and when it is not in use you can lock it so it won't be able to ignite. This is for sure a neat little tool to have for a reasonable cost.

It works well. It can be a lighter to start a fire for camping, but it is a little bit big to fit into my pocket.

I actually bought this unit to be a lighter for wood fires, but I found it was too big to fit in my pocket. It is used mainly in the kitchen. If your food isn't sufficiently burned, well, this little item is just the ticket. Apparently there is a use in the kitchen for them, although I haven't used it for that. It is a small torch, so you can melt things with it. And you can light a wood fire with it, it just doesn't fit conveniently in your pocket like I preferred. But it's nice to know I have a backup. It uses butane which you can order online.It's worth having because if your life depends on starting a fire with a lighter, a normal lighter won't do it--at least it didn't do it for me--so this lighter/torch will definitely do that job. Flame temps reach over 1000F.

Light weight easy to use can adjust the flame

This unit workd great for four years. Than today the spark ingnition malfunctioned, so it must be thrown away. Nice lighter, but I still feel a tinge of loss, remembering how almost all the American made machines and appliances of yesteryear worked for many decades. Of couese, ignore the low ratings mentioning it "not havig fuel"...it's hard to believe people actually think you can ship something as flammable and explosive as compressed butune. They ask you if you're shipping that with every posted package.

The torch I had previously was so old and needed to be replaced so I got this one! It’s such a great size which makes it perfect for storage, super simple to use, and easy to refill! Love this and would definitely recommend it 🥰
