EZ RED MM36 Monster Magnet

I was quite surprised when I received this extendable magnet. In my mind, I was looking for a better built magnet to replace the $2 one you can get at the gas station with one that was stouter and easier to maneuver in tight spots. This bad boy definitely fits the bill. The machining was done nicely and it is made of a nice grade of aluminum. It feels very solid once you get it adjusted to whatever configuration you need to retrieve your metal objects. You can lock the magnet head into the right angle that you need, which is very nice.It seems to have a quality Neodymium magnet in the head, instead of a chrome plated ferrite magnet you will find on cheap extendable magnets.My only warning is just to beware of this things size. As the listing states, this thing "Telescopes from 22-Inch to 38-Inch". I have never seen one this size before, and didn't read the description, so I was expecting the little pencil sized one. Would I buy it again? Of course! This thing will retrieve anything I need in 90% of the situations I get myself into (engine bays, don't feel like bending over to pick something up, something falls down a drain, etc.). I wish E-Z red would make a 9" to -20" version with a smaller diameter head. I would buy it ASAP!

Tool was defective , im starting to believe all the crap they sell on amazon is return defective from major stores???
