Q: Queen mattresses= 80" & this bedframe= 80". Huh? Too tight to make bed & no room for a foot blanket. Is it really just 80" or 83" (fingers crossed)?

Mine measures 80" from post to post. I have a queen size mattress and there is about a half inch of space between the mattress and the posts at the headboard and footboard. I don't really have any problem making the bed.

Q: I know you don't have to use a box spring, but can you ?

Yes, in fact I would recommend using a boxspring and mattress together. Ours fits nicely on this frame and is very stable.

Q: What is the weight limit for a full?
