Really helpful after hip replacement
The shoe horn seemed a bit short to be of much use to me. The sponge was super handy. The grabber works pretty decent, feels a little on the flimsy side but so far it has served the purpose. A few times I have had to manually fix the end where it slightly goes to side n won’t open backup, but overall it has been a good grabber. The clothes helper has been good but I have found myself using the grabber more for pulling up clothing. The star is the sock helper in my mind. I have had trouble bending for socks/shoes for years and there is a little learning curve but after a few tries it becomes easy. Just make sure you get the sock all the way on/ the toe is completely as far back as you can get it and should have no trouble. Overall this was very handy and I am really glad I bought it. If you are having any kind of hip or probably knee surgery I would recommend.

Worth the purchase
I bought this set because my hip therapist recommended it. I never used the shoe horn. And I never used the back scrubber, that’s what my wife was for.The sock assist device actually worked very well. The stick with the hooks on it?? I used it to help me with my underwear and pants. It was a very good thing to help me with independence of doing it myself.I used the clawed grabber for the first few days after my surgery and it worked well too.

Great for knee surgery
I bought this for a recent knee replacement surgery. I've used the grabber for items that were hard to reach. The sponge is good in the shower...it does feel a little flimsy but has held up well so far. The long handle is a must since I can't reach my feet. I haven't used the sock helper...my husband has helped me with that. This was the exact kit the hospital recommended for me to purchase. Overall, it's definitely worth the purchase. I only removed 1 star as I haven't really needed the shoe horn or the sock helper. This is worth purchasing.

Highly Recommended
giving it a 5 as I've not opened it for review. It was not needed after ordering it due to complications of hip surgery. It was very highly recommended by Physical therapist at Wake Forest Hospital. So I ordered it. It is a link he apparently carries with him to suggest.

Great aid after surgery on broken femur
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These tools are perfect to assist after surgery for a broken femur. I can easily reach & put on my socks & shoes by myself. The grabber has come in handy, too. This kit works very well.

Cheaper isn't always the way to go!
I had major back surgery 2 weeks ago and ordered this "hip-kit" as it was suggested by my occupational therapist as I am not allowed to bend, lift, twist for the following 4-6 more weeks. The sock application helper is 1 off the items that I found very useful, as was The longer shoe horn. The other item I was skeptical of but found very helpful was the clothing hook and the other side of that same item for picking up clothes while I'm getting dressed. The grabber is a very mandatory item with those restrictions, as anyone in with arthritis dizziness or anything else that might keep you in from bending over your to pick something up from the floor. I'm 6 foot tall and this grabber was too short. I find I'm most dissatisfied with the extended sponge for bathing assistance. The sponge bends and folds over giving you a less than satisfactory scrub. If I were going to order again I'd find a set with a luffa or soft brush.

Everything to make you able to do the basics
I had a hip replacement a few months back. My wife was having difficulty with the compression stockings. The sock tube is the best ! I used the hook rod to help get dressed, didn’t need my wife to help me with my underwear ; ). The bath sponge helped washing my lower limbs and back. Long shoe horn- I’m still using for my everyday shoes. I highly recommend this kit for anyone who is getting or has had a hip replacement.
