Excellent Performance, Price and Packaging.
Prior to buying this, I was torn between Crucial, Samsung and Kingston memory modules of more or less the same frequency and memory capacity. They had more reviews and ratings than this Corsair Vengeance kit, but I decided to go with it because I have always purchased Corsair flash memory and it served me great at blazing speeds. I do a lot of Graphic Design work as a student and needed the extra memory, and being tech savvy I couldn't help but do a lot of research before buying this. That said, I'm impressed by Corsair yet again! The timings of this memory are 9-9-9-24 (Lower means Better!), which is extremely fast for a module running at 1600Mhz. My processor is the Core i5-2520M (Sandy Bridge) and can only accept memory frequency ranges of up to 1333Mhz :( but I bought it knowing this would happen anyway. Why? Because of the benefits from downclocking this to 1333MHz!-[Unlike the newer series up from the i7 2720QM which accepts 1600MHz. So if you have the 2720QM, 2760QM or better you can run this at its rated frequency]-It downclocks to 1333Mhz and runs at LOWER timings of 8-8-8-20 at this frequency. It is priced the same as 1333MHz Crucial and Samsung and has timings that are way better, and this makes a noticeable difference when you're running a lot of resource-hogging applications like Photoshop and Illustrator, and even while gaming.I already had a 4GB module on my HP Elitebook 8460p, but I swapped it out for this kit and am running this in dual channel mode while I figure out how on earth I survived with just 4GB of memory that was so much slower! Also, I tested out 1 Vengeance module versus my older pre-installed Samsung memory and it's still noticeably faster!Pros:-- Easy to attach, if you know what you're doing. Took me five minutes and only because I had trouble finding my screwdriver lol- Remains cool and no heating issues (yet).- Excellent timings even at 1600MHz. If you're running it at below 1333MHz, expect timings even better than the 8-8-8-20 I'm getting. [As Joe MacBu pointed out, it runs at 6-6-6-16 at 1066MHz. That's blazin'!]- An option to consider if you have a gaming notebook and want more memory without having to buy higher frequency (and more expensive) performance memory. Consider this for more performance @ 8GB - Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz PC3 204 Pin 15000 SODIMM Laptop Memory CMSX8GX3M2A1866C10 for it's 1866MHz frequency and fab timings (but only if you have the latest i7s - 2720QM and up). You could also try looking for a good 16GB kit with at least a frequency of 1600MHz. (I tried looking on Amazon but didn't find anything I liked). But this is entirely up to you.- Comes in a small, easy to open, easy to dispose package. When I saw the box I couldn't believe how small it was! It's the size of my palm.Cons:-- Runs at 1.5V, which is fine since almost every other memory module you will find runs at 1.5V, but I would have loved it if this ran at 1.35V like certain power-efficient memory kits in the market.- Should have come with the custom heatsink design like the other Vengeance models... or maybe that's asking for too much! Sorry haha- The biggest problem is that I am hard-pressed to find something wrong with this kit for you. But I'll keep an eye out and update in the next few months...In short, this is probably the best upgrade you can give your laptop for a noticeable boost in performance for less than $50. I'd be hard-pressed to say 'no'.... Highly recommended! You won't be sorry :)**PS - Note that this is a 204-pin module so ensure that your notebook can use it!**

Perfect Upgrade for My Dell Latitude 5500!
I recently upgraded my Dell Latitude 5500 with this RAM, and the difference is night and day! My laptop was struggling with slow load times and lag, especially when gaming, but after installing this upgrade, everything runs much smoother. Multitasking is effortless, games load faster, and overall performance has improved significantly. Installation was a breeze—just plug and play. For the price, this is one of the best upgrades you can get to breathe new life into an older laptop. Highly recommend!

Works great
Works great and easy to install. Not much to write about RAM. It installed easy, works great and see small improvement in computer speed. Haven’t pushed it yet.

Works Wonderfully with AMD Toshiba Laptop
I've been using a Toshbia Satellite laptop for 3 years now and at the time I got it it was the fastest computer I've ever owned however as I started using more programs, especially Chrome, I noticed the 4GB or RAM just wasn't enough and it would result in the otherwise fast quad-core AMD laptop slowing to a crawl. I originally wanted to buy this RAM back in 2012 when it was on sale for under $50 but I never did and after the prices went up much higher I put it off until recently when the price of this RAM is very affordable again so now is the time to buy it. As I mentioned my laptop is an AMD machine and this RAM does with AMD (in my case an A6 APU.) This RAM is just marketed as being optimized for certain Intel processors. As long as your laptop uses 204 pin RAM these should be compatible. The 1600MHz is backwards compatible with lower frequencies which most likely is what your computer's motherboard uses but you still get a speed advantage as it lowers the timing of this RAM at lower frequencies (I don't know much about that but it's a good thing.) You can look up your computer's specs if you don't know, research your specific model laptop online or even some of your already installed programs, like Steam, give you a detailed overview of your computer's components. You can also visit Corsair's website and see if this RAM is compatible with your system. The RAM installation is very simple and requires no software or configuration, just make sure the RAM is seated in fully as I never installed RAM before and my laptop wouldn't turn on until I uninstalled and reinstalled the RAM with a little more force. Now Google Chrome with extensions, multiple tabs, background programs and multitasking in no way slow down my computer by hogging up all the RAM. This has added new life in a computer that otherwise I would have considered getting rid of after becoming outdated and slower over the last few years. You can also furthermore speed up an older laptop by upgrading to an SSD however it might not be worth the time and money considering it may be a better idea just to use that money to build or buy an all around newer and better computer. It's hard to know for sure but I would say the all around speeds of my laptop have increased slightly but what's mainly noticeable is that the computer now runs at a consistent speed without locking up regardless of how much you're doing, assuming it's not super CPU intensive. I've heard good things about Corsair and I'm very impressed with this product and will look to Corsair in the future for any computer needs.

Ramming speed
Works as should and easy to install.

Does the job
Good: Works in my laptop; no sign of glitches or overheating when stress-tested. Decent price.Bad: Nothing significant.Odd: The product listing gives unit price by weight!? ($374.94 per 100 grams, in case you're wondering.)Bottom line: There isn't much you can say about RAM nowadays, it either works or it doesn't. This works, and the more memory-hungry apps on my Razer laptop appreciate the fourfold boost in RAM. Be sure to get a pair of cards instead of one big one (PCs usually run faster with both RAM slots occupied) and be sure you order the right speed (I originally ordered 3200 mHz cards instead of 2666. The laptop recognized them, but refused to boot up.) Five stars.
