The Monkey and the Crocodile: A Jataka Tale from India (Paul Galdone Nursery Classic) Paperback – Picture Book, September 21, 1987

This is a simple but wonderful book. The illustrations are very colorful - the rather dull cover does not do the book justice. The tale told is great for helping children recognize the need to be wary of strangers and keep their wits about them.

Just like the book I read to our grandkids years ago. Nice illustrations and clever problem solving monkey tale.

I had this book read to me when I was 3. It’s graphics are so bright and colorful. Get one for your children or grandchildren and read to them.

This was my grandson’s favorite book when he was a little boy. I bought this for his new baby boy because my copy is falling apart. My son ordered the original one from a school book fair thirty-five years ago so it will be a three generation book.

It's hard to beat Paul Galdone when it comes to an intriguing story. Lots of suspense 'till the very end. Nicely illustrated as well.

Like the large print on this hardbound book which I will be reading to three elementary school classes I visit every month :):)!!
