Great gesso at a great price
This gesso is thick, but not hard to mix with water. It has a nice βtoothβ to it as well. Itβs worth paying a little extra for the bucket knowing that it will last for a while.

I used this to prep a wall for a mural it is a very good finish and made an excellent prepped surface

Top Shelf Gesso!
I've worked at a Paint store and I'm also an artist myself, and I have to say this gesso is top shelf quality. It is very thick so you have to dilute it in another bottle with water for the first few coats. In fact that's what you should do with any bare canvas. Afterwards you can layer it with a nice thick coat ( I still dilute it with a little bit of water because of the consistency ). I've already sketched on the canvas and it's a very durable gesso. Highly recommend.

Thin, thin gesso.
And it does not set well, it needs several thin layers before being a viable product for your canvas. You can't knife a thick layer on, it just slides right off.
