[Nongshim] Shin Ramyun Non-Frying (dried noodles / Pack of 5) / Hot & Spicy Noodle Soup / Korean food / Korean ramen (overseas direct shipment)

These Shin Ramyun use slightly thinner noodles than the Red, Gold, Black and Green varieties, all of which use fried ramyun. Having said, the texture of the air-dried ramyun is a little more toothsome than the fried variety. The spice base is a bit hotter than the Red, but not enough to scare off anyone who enjoys Shin Red. The flakes/veg are acceptable -- I don't mind ditching the big pieces of mushroom (which I break up anyway), and the seasoning oil adds little that I can detect. Definitely delicious, and seem to hold up better when past their expiration date than their fried counterparts. Recommended.

These babies are ideal for a snack or a full course meal depending on what you want. Just follow the instructions and you'll have some perfectly cooked noodles. They are packed tightly so if you like your noodles to be a little more spaced out break them up or space them out while cooking. They are a nice firm noodle from start to finish if you cook them to the 4-minute mark.

The flavor is excellent and I love the fact that it is non fried which cuts the calories.

The flavour is much nicer than the original; richer and less artificial, thought still with the Nongshim signature aftertaste. The noodles are thicker and more delicious than the fried ramen noodles typical of the shin ramen. Great taste and highly recommend! Add shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, and a soft boiled egg.... perfection!
