Advantage II Large Cat Flea Treatment: Effective and Hassle-Free Protection!
The Advantage II Large Cat Vet-Recommended Flea Treatment & Prevention (4-Month Supply, Cats Over 9 lbs.) has been a game-changer for my indoor-outdoor cat. This topical solution, backed by veterinarians, is super easy to applyājust a quick squeeze at the base of the skull, no pills required. The fragrance-free formula kills fleas, larvae, and eggs on contact within 12 hours, preventing bites and breaking the flea life cycle for a full 30 days per dose. My catās scratching stopped almost immediately, and Iāve noticed no fleas since starting the treatment. The 4-month supply is convenient and cost-effective, with no prescription needed, and the waterproof formula holds up after 24 hours, perfect for my cat who loves exploring. The active ingredients, imidacloprid and pyriproxyfen, work effectively without needing fleas to bite, reducing risks like tapeworm or dermatitis. Application is straightforward, though I ensure my cat doesnāt lick the spot initially to avoid mild salivation. While some users report rare skin irritation, my cat had no issues, but Iād suggest monitoring after the first use and consulting a vet for sensitive pets. For anyone with a cat over 9 lbs. needing reliable flea control, this is a solid, vet-trusted choice that delivers peace of mind and a happy, itch-free pet! Consult a veterinarian before use.

Good price for one tube
Itās a flea and tick remedy, well priced, and it works. I think it may be has a gentler formula, as my cat didnāt react as most do to a foreign substance. She remained calm after I put it on her. A good surprise!good price

Excellent product and worth every penny!
I won't mention names. But, don't waste your time buying cheaper products, especially if your cats actively have fleas. I used a different product for several years. Evidently, my cats became immune to it. I ended up with a full on flea infestation in my home. It was located primarily in my hallway, master bedroom, and my bed.I purchased food grade DE powder. I followed the instructions. It worked well. Unfortunately, I have MCAS and the DE powder caused a severe reaction. I don't recommend that process to anyone. I purchased a different brand of flea & tick medication. I had to dose my 7 cats twice. It did not work completely.I put this flea and tick medicine on my cats two days ago. They come in nice little tubes. It's easy to apply. Each dose is individually packages. No scissors needs to open these large bulky contraptions with very little medication in them.I've deflead my home. This problem is just about resolve now. I highly recommend and will continue purchasing this brand only! Thank you!

Effective and safe
Reliable control of fleas for your cat(s). Might be old school product, but gets the job done. Have 2 cats (lighter weight cats) and ordering the product for large (higher weight) cats was able to save $$ by splitting a tube between cats. Ease of application and effective flea control. Put product on my cat as directed between shoulder blades and saw results quickly within hours of application.

REVIEW OF ADVANTAGE II LARGE CAT FLEA CONTROL
PROS: works well, appropriate for large cats, easy application, ability to buy in bulkCONS: expensive, sometimes applicator breaks, stinky smell!I first purchased this product in August 2015, Again in Janurary 2016, and I just purchased this again (July 2016). I purchased this product to help control fleas on my two cats, one of which is an indoor/outdoor cat. The neighborhood I live in has terrible fleas, so using flea medication is essential. The product arrived quickly, and came with thorough instructions, which I skimmed. The medication comes in a tiny tube incased in a foil packet. I opened the packet, and took out the tube. You break the seal on the tube by inverting the cap and puncturing the seal. I did this and accidentally twisted, causing the point on the top of the lid to become lodged in the opening of the tube. This was stressful because each treatment is so expensive. I realized, however, that I could fish out the point with some tweezers and still use the product! I then pinned my cat down and applied the product to the back of their neck. While I did see a decrease in fleas, I still saw several. I increased application to once every two weeks, and added baths and flea combing to the regime. Eventually, I was able to apply only once a month. During the summer the flea population seems to increase, which also coincided with my adoption of a second cat. I noticed the cat came in with fleas and I applied this medication, but it didn't seem to do much. I then woke up one morning with about 30 flea bites covering my lower legs and feet! I was horrified, and I knew it was time to get serious! After a bit of research I realized apart of why the medication may have been ineffective previously was that I wasn't applying it correctly (ha! Thats what i get for skimming!) Rereading instructions, I realized that I need to part my cats fur and try to make skin contact with the medication. I also learned that if my cats lick it it will taste bitter, discouraging licking behaviors of the medication. I'm going to include a few steps I took to control fleas in my house, unrelated to this product, but I think it might be useful! Scroll down to my conclusion if uninterested :) Anyways, so my cats hate baths (they were both rescued and are older so its hard to introduce new behaviors, I mean, I'm no jackson galaxy) For this reason flea baths always stressed me out and I was worried about my cats catching a cold or licking the flea shampoo and getting sick.Instead of bathing my cats, I gave them a pill that will kill all the fleas on them within 6 hours( https://www.amazon.com/Novartis-Capstar-Flea-Tablets-Count/dp/B005Z6UL1M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1469319334&sr=8-2&keywords=flea+killer+pill). Using this pill in conjunction with this treatment, was a life saver! The next thing I did was give my pets a dry, diatomaceous earth bath. If you choose to do this with your cats, make sure you use food grade DE. DE is a great natural alternative for flea control, but the dust can be damaging to yourself and your cats! To prevent this, I wore a bandana around my mouth, and I stuck a comfy cone on my cat ( https://www.amazon.com/Comfy-Cone-E-Collar-Large-Black/dp/B000XY7CKE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469319818&sr=8-1&keywords=comfy+cone). My cats didn't like it, but it was safer and easier than flea baths! I also put some apple cider vinegar diluted with water in a spray bottle, and I sprayed down my cats. They hated this, but I think it maybe helped the fleas? It also reduced dust from the DE.CONCLUSION: I think that all cat owners should use this product on their cats, even if their cats are indoor cats. an inch of prevention is worth a pound of solution, and this is especially true for fleas. Make sure to treat your cats regularly and make sure you apply it correctly!included some photos of my happy flea free cats :)

A must have to make your š± kitty happy & healthy
I have 4 cats that go in & out all day! This stuff really works & no chemical smell! I use it religiously on all my babies for years. They sleep in bed with us so, they gotta be clear of any fleas, ticks etc. I HIGHLY recommend it. It may seem pricey but, if u think about it ⦠itās only $10/per cat a month. The BEST thing about this product is you can literally see how happy & content they are w/out scratching. They sleep better & everythingš» Iāve seen some of the bad reviews but, as long as the cat isnāt allergic to it & you use the correct weight (Ibs) Iāve never had a problem. So, if u go by the directions⦠itās completely safe in my experience & Iāve been using it 10yrs on my oldest cat. Itās supposed to last a month but, it lasts about 3 weeks. U can tell when itās time for a new treatment cuz theyāll start itching. I just put it on the calendar so I keep track.
