Good replacement hose
This hose works good so far and I have not had problems with it disconnecting like some other hoses I tried. The extended part of the hose is about a foot shorter and less stiff than the original. I dont know if it will last as long, but it is easier to extend and bend over the original.

Does not last
It started developing holes about a year into ownership. I’m at about a year and a half now, and there are multiple tears, so that I cannot use my wand arrangement any more. Ordering brand name replacement. Save your money.

Not exact replacement, but good enough
The hose on my DC33 recently split. As the original has lasted almost 7 years I wanted to get an original replacement part. I bought one that I thought was OEM at twice the price of this one, but it was not the same as the original and the attachments didn't fit. This one is about 2-3 feet shorter than the original when fully extended, but is inexpensive and the attachments fit correctly. Of all the replacements available I would say this is the best. The only reason I took off a star is because it is shorter than the original which prevents me from reaching the top steps on my stairway, which I was able to do with the original.

Works EXACTLY as described
Works EXACTLY as described. For info on how to replace the old hose check it out on YouTube but it's easy as can be. Remember, this is a brand new hose so it may be a tad stiff. You'll feel some resistance when you first put the wand back into place but be firm, it will be fine.
