The reasons I deducted one star is because it tends to slip off my dryer nozzle and I wish the tightening cord was in the front middle. My previous one had it there and it was more user friendly. Other than that, it does the job and is well made.

Worked well to dry locs (about shoulder length). Bonnet fit comfortably, and stayed in place, with help of chin strap. Bonnet dispersed heat evenly. Very happy with purchase..

I’m sitting here using the hood for the first time as I write this review and it is definitely a fantastic alternative to the regular hooded dryers that tend to be clunky and take up space. I also like that I can use this when I travel (as I am right now) and it gets the job done well.The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because I wish there was a different and more secure way to tighten the hood and keep it in place around your head. I just spent the first 20 minutes or so adjusting and readjusting the hood on my head because the drawstring wouldn’t stay tight. The string itself is made from a braided silky-ish type material that has very little traction, so the little ball with the button to adjust the tightness of the string kept sliding and making the hood fit loosely. As it loosens, more heat escapes around the edges and after a few seconds it feels like my neck and ears and forehead are burning up! Like I said, it took me awhile to adjust the hood and my scarf on my head, but I just pulled the scarf down a little more to cover those parts of my head and neck that were exposed to the heat coming from the edges of the hood and that helped. The chin strap is also very helpful for keeping the hood from flying off my head because that’s exactly what it does when I turn on my blow dryer and the hood puffs up! However, the chin strap sometimes digs in or feels like it’s choking me a little, and if I loosen it then the hood doesn’t sit low enough on my head to dry each section.Overall, I highly recommend this, but for some it might take some adjusting and getting used to before it fits comfortably.

Please make sure you get the right type of hairdryer because your hair will take forever to dry. Other than that it’s a great tool for deep conditioning

This thing flies off my head even with the chin strap on. It works okay for a semi-quick dry but I have to hold the chin straps to keep it from flying off my head.

UPDATE: So after using it finally for the first time I absolutely LOVED this tool and it will be a staple in my hair care routine if it holds up (some reviews said it did not but I hope that’s not the case). It felt like I was treating myself to spa care. I used it along with deep conditioning mask treatment. I used a plastic cap over top of my wet hair and made the hood tight. It’s defintiely worth the buy!I haven't used it yet, but so far here is what I can say...It arrived on time and everything was in order. I tried on the bonnet and it fit nicely with lots of added room and a drawstring to be able to tighten or loosen the bonnet. It does have a clipping mechanism that goes under your chin and as some other reviewers pointed out, I will use it gently because it seems like it can break easily.I am also quite pleased with their customer service. I've received emails from live customer service reps making sure everything was to my expectations. I also received a free Healthy Skin eBook via email from them which was unexpected, but much appreciated and I will read through. I will try and update my review once I use it, which I am hoping to later this week!

I hate to say it because I typically love Glow by Daye products (their bonnets and shower caps specifically) but this just doesn’t last. Mine tore after less than a year, and the eleganty one is much better. It has an adjustable strap that goes around the dryer opening to make sure it fits, comes with a headband, and is just better quality overall.

We live off-the-grid in a solar house, so power consumption is always on our minds. I own a Remington 1875 watt hair dryer and have used it 2 times in 9 years. Since moving off-the-grid, no more blowing my hair dry in 30 minutes. Instead, every Sunday afternoon the ritual of washing my hair and setting it in honkin' big velcro rollers, sitting in front of the wood stove or out on the porch (weather permitting) hoping my hair will dry before I go to bed.I have been telling my husband about the portable bonnet hair dryer my mom used to use in the 1960s and how I would love to find one. Every collectible/antique store I go into I inquire whether they may have one.Then it arrived! My new bonnet, portable hair dryer! I admit that when I saw it I thought, "Sheesh, what a cheaply made product." But, it works!I'm using it as I write (while simultaneously doing laundry). My hope is that my hair will be dry when the laundry is finished.I'll be using this every Sunday afternoon and will report back after a couple months of use to see how the bonnet hold up. But today, I'm very happy with it.

The bonnet worked wonderfully. I’m happy with the large size of the bonnet. I was able to have “magical hair rollers” on my big head and there was still room enough for air to circulate. I fastened the bonnet so my ears were left out and then could easily use high speed and medium heat. It took just over an hour to dry my medium length hair.

I like to use hair rollers occasionally and this bonnet fitted well over the rollers and dried my hair evenly

Great adjustable size. Works well for applying diffuse heat when doing deep conditions treatments.
