The up to date knowing when it come to living healthiest and longest
My reason for buying this book is not because either I personally, or my wife, are having problem with our bodies weights, which are fine, or concerning our normal health, which also is fine, but only for updating my knowledge concerning how to live, especially when it comes to how much in the food daily to have of vitamins and minerals. And thereby having less chance to be hit by cancer or having wrong cholesterol distributions. After blood tests 4 years ago, until half a year ago, I was fighting with the doctors, who opposite to me, were saying that my wife were having bad cholesterol numbers, as her HDL was higher than 50, and therefore wanted to put her on some bad drugs. Among other I against this used the Harvard side with heart attack calculator for women, which showed quit the opposite. And beside this, during the last 2 years, since her surgery for breast cancer (only being 1/3 of an inch) - coursed by 2 doctors telling her that if she were not in few days having a surgery then she would die - the doctors again and again have been telling her what she is not allowed to eat. And this being quit opposite to what I again and again have been reading in books and papers. So therefore I'm buying, and reading, many books concerning health, so that my wife is trusting and thereby following, me instead of the doctors. And concerning her actual breast cancer 2 years ago, the more and more I have been reading the more and more I have come to the conclusion that her breast cancer nearly only was caused by an estrogen drug which doctors put her on throughout 32 year (26 of the years before I met her). And a drug for which I, by newly reading in one book, printed last year, found to have increased her risk in getting breast cancer to be 4 times higher than normal! In the book there is not much new to me, it's mostly a gathering of the research knowing we now are having when it comes to the correct way of normal living that is, without all the mistakes concerning what to eat which we were previously was told during the past 50 year.I'm from Denmark so it's interesting on the side 110 to read that in Denmark, 59 % of people report the use of some kind of dietary supplement. I still remember how we as children daily were taking vitamin pills, and learned to continue doing this during the rest of the life. That is, the importance of the vitamin, mineral, beside the protein. But concerning the vitamins and minerals, the Government Dietary Guidelines, it's interesting to read that Johnson state that it was during the Second World War this guideline was made, and that it was made containing the minimum for the soldiers, and newer made for the civilian. And this with reasoning the minimum to be enough, he compares with being equal to saying that all persons would be happy when after having pied the daily expenses and then not owing a single coin. And this this we know to be quit opposite to reality. Also interestingly on side 158 we under "Lack of intrinsic faith", are reading about many studies which have shown that people who have committed religious faith are more likely to enjoy better health. And we read about the results with one group outside the hospital praying for a group in the hospital, that didn't know about this, and how much it helped. I by myself have no religion, but I have now during 50 year been reading many books and magazine concerning for example the occult, and I have read about many cases parallel to these. And concerning the telepathy, we for example in the book written by Wilson Van Dusen: "The Presence of Other Worlds", are reading about Emanuel Swedenborg who nearly 300 year ago, being 250 km away from Stockholm, was following a burning which on the same time was appearing there. So there is a 6th censing, we are having by which we still don't know much about.A fine book when it comes to a book to trust, when searching after knowing how to live the healthiest way.

Kudos for Optimal Health
This book was recommended to me by a doctor who had met Dr. Duke Johnson & suggested that I read the book. I first ordered it on my Kindle Fire & soon realized that I wanted a "hard copy" to easier browse back & forth between the charts, etc & to show to & recommend to friends and family. I'm still re-reading references & have gotten many tips to good health. Dr. Johnson shows proof of his research & it all makes good, logical sense to me!
