It's for a very small dog or a cat... I bought it for some rescue Doberman pups but when I got it I realized that I had made a mistake by not checking dimensions. So I decided to keep it for my little 5 pound chihuahua and 8 pound cat to use as their community water bowl. Its so blue you cant even tell the water is in it until you reach in and feel, its so clear... I move it all over when i clean so its extremely easy to move around and it has a clear top to see when you need to refill and you can make sure your animals are drinking enough water. It's very easy to fill up and as long as you put it in correctly, it pops right into place and fills the bowl to the proper amount and stops on its own when it hits about an 1/8" from the top. I love the color and appearance. Its super cute even being so small. Performs exactly as I expected it to. Hope this helps in deciding whether its for you or not. I think it holds maybe 1/2 a gallon. It lasts them about a week.

This fountain is perfect for my clouder of cats. I love the size 1/2 gallon and that it has the microbial coating. It's easy to screw on the base and my Fizzy cat can't take it apart when he's mad that I let it go dry. I like the blue color really well. Overall it is exactly what I was looking for. Also, you can put the base in the dishwasher but not the water cylinder. I learned the hard way on my Target one. This is a keeper!

This is a great little dish. It comes with a filter so that's nice to give animals filtered water. It's a small size and the tank lasts a few days. I have a dog and two cats who all use it.

I ordered two of these Gravity Waterers for my two cats. I have them placed in two areas of my house so they can get water "here" or "there." And they do drink a lot, so I'm glad I got this large gallon size. I like that it came with a charcoal filter, so the water is being filtered for them. I've had these units for a while now, no problems, no leaks, no tip overs, no worries! Just empty, clean, fill up and let the cats drink to their hearts content! I highly recommend. Easy to use. Easy to clean and fill. Water revivor screws to the bowl, so there is no separation when you pick it up out of the sink to place on the floor. I highly recommend. My cats also recommend! 5 happy stars for the Gravity Waterer!

I have 2 small dogs, 6lb and 11lb, so I bought the 1 gallon version of this. It's the perfect size to last a while without going weeks where I think the water would start to attract bacteria. It's super simple to use. Because it's the smaller size it is easy to fill and put back on the base. I left the charcoal filter in it which helps prevent water from going everywhere. The lock feature on it doesn't have a click or tactile feel to it. You just thread the bottle in a bit so it doesn't just pull or fall out. The bowl area is large enough for the small dogs as well.I haven't had this long enough to comment on the Microban and bacteria, or growth of mold. I have cleaned it twice and it was super simple. I like simple design and I was looking at some other water stations with internal valve switches and mechanical plungers that allow the water out. Stuff like that and break or fail. This doesn't have any of those parts, so it should last longer.The biggest issue I have with this is my 8 month old puppy thinks it's a pool to play in, and water goes everywhere when he starts jumping in it and splashing. But that's not a product issue.

Unfortunately it came in a box with a few different items I ordered at the same time- the box was much too big so everything was sliding around, and that caused a piece of the plastic to break off of the edge that the lid screws onto. Luckily it’s not making a difference in the performance and it still works great! It’s just a bummer knowing that it might not hold up since it’s constantly having to be pushed into the holder and it could end up breaking off more. I have a lab and a German Shepard and the size is perfect to last them about a week in Texas. It’s pretty big! It’s easy to use- you just twist it until it clicks into place but it’s pretty heavy.

Durable, easy to clean. Peace of mind that my dogs won’t run out of water when it’s hot. Only caution is that the water tank is really heavy for this 70 year old woman, so if that is a concern for you, order the smaller size tank.
