Cozy Plush Puppy Heatable Soft Toy

The media could not be loaded. Even with the central heating on during the winter I find I get very cold in the evenings and I often need something else just to feel warm. I've been wary of hot water bottles after an accident with one and this microwavable warmer has been an excellent solution.The warmer is very easy to use, pop it in the microwave on full power for two minutes and then cuddle up to it - that is if you can resist spending your time stroking it!The main body of the puppy is filled with wheat which has been infused with lavender. The lavender smell is fairly strong to start with but not overpowering. It does diminish over time and after many uses. I assume that it is there partially as a way of making you feel relaxed but it also helps to cover the smell from the wheat. When you heat the warmer up for the first few times the wheat does smell quite strongly but it isn't unpleasant. Also, the wheat gives off quite a bit of moisture and although the warmer itself doesn't feel damp there is a feeling of residual moisture when you use it. Again, like the smell, this fades and disappears over time.The warmer is well made, the stitching is secure and the fur used to make the puppy is lovely and soft. The head is full of standard soft toy stuffing and this doesn't get hot when you microwave it.After taking it out of the microwave it is a little on the hot side for the first ten minutes or so then it cools to a really comfortable temperature. It gradually cools over time but after 1-2 hours it does need heating up again if you are going to use it for any lengthy period of time. If you are using it to go to bed with then it will stay sufficiently hot until you are asleep.To sum up:Pros* Much safer than a standard hot water bottle* Heat up and use as it is, no fiddly covers or preparation needed* Gives a good quality of heat* Very flexible, can be used to wrap around your neck, shoulder, tummy, legs etc* Well made* Lavender smell is pleasant and relaxing* Looks and feels very cute* Suitable for both children and adultsCons* Cools down after 1-2 hours* Wheat smell for first few uses - masked by the lavender* Feels slightly damp for the first few uses* Even if you are an adult you won't be able to resist sitting and stroking this

As described. So soft. Really cute. Not used as it is a gift for Christmas. Very happy with product.

I had a monkey one of these as a gift and loved it so much that i purchased this one along with some other animal designs - dinosaur, cow, sheep and another monkey. These are great at keeping you warm and smell lovely. They are so easy to use as they simply go in the microwave. Would recommend for both adults and children. These would be safer than a hot water bottle as there is very little risk of burns.UPDATE 4 years later - The 2 monkeys, sheep and cow are still in great condition, however unfortunately i have had to mend the dinosaur and dog on the upper seam as they split slightly. Don't let this put you off as they have been used daily and are still a great practical and novelty product. I would continue to recommend.

I purchased a couple of these as Christmas gifts (a dog and a lamb)for my grandchildren, these cozy animals are very well made and have super soft fur making them ideal for the kids to snuggle up with. Like some of the other reviewers I found they feel slightly damp the first couple of times you microwave them however after doing some on-line research I've found out this is normal for most wheat filled hotties, after microwaving them a couple of times they no longer feel damp, the lavender smell is lovely and very relaxing. These are perfect for the kids to snuggle with at bed time and make great car companions especially when the weather is a chilly. Now I need to purchase one for me to snuggle with lol

I was looking forward to using this product, however, it came half broken. The stitching came opened and black contents are piling out. I do not recommend this product!!

This toy is bigger than I expected so turning on the turntable in the microwave is done only when the animal is put into a ball almost so it turns! Heats up well and our puppy loves it! The lavender scent is a bit overpowering but im sure it would wear down over time. As mentioned in the packaging - the toy DOES feel a little damp when taken out of the microwave but this really doesn't detract from the comfort and heat. We have a tiny puppy who needed a warm body to sleep next to - and we found it. Recommended.

My 5 year old son has constant abdominal pain at the moment and had been using a hot water bottle to help him sleep. This was an ideal replacement and much more comfortable to cuddle! We heat it for 90 seconds and it stays warm for about 30-40 minutes. We don't need to spend ages ensuring it's the right temperature in the same way you do for a hot water bottle and would highly recommend it for young children. I agree with some of the other reviews that it did feel a little damp for the first few uses, however, the instructions clearly indicate that this can happen initially. After nightly use for the past few weeks the smell isn't as strong but that's to be expected and doesn't detract from a great product. Height recommended.

this product came in time and it is scented with lavender, probably the first use was rather strong of lavender smell. However, using it few times, makes the smell more subtle. it is nice to hug and it probably last for about an hour heat.
