This self adjusting foundation is very interesting. It comes out like a grey color mixed with some browns. It looks grainy but it isn’t. They suggest that you get a darker color if you are between shades so I opted to get the darker one and it seems to be a little bit darker than my skin. It went on greyish white and then it went a tinge darker than my skin color. You could noticeably see the difference so I think mixed it with something else would give me the perfect shade but it’s a nice formula. It goes on like a cream and you can buff it out with the brush that comes with it. The brush is very soft, small enough to fit comfortably in the hand and washes out great. The brush does a good job in getting the foundation evenly onto the skin. The foundation does have a light smell to it but it’s not overpowering to where you can’t use it. I like it and the formula is very good.

I've used "skin tone matching" foundations like this before, but I always got the sense that the white lotion just absorbed into your skin like moisturizer, giving the impression that it was changing color. THIS color-adjusting foundation actually DOES change color. I tapped it lightly on the back of my hand and watched as it went from white to my coloring, and then, when I wiped it off, the towelette had foundation color on it. And yes - it does match my own coloring very well. Of course, you still need to pick the version closest to your own skin tone.I like the kabuki brush that comes with it, but if you go in with too much of the lotion it will look streaky (brush marks!) and cakey, so the description "opaque" doesn't really fit. I found it works best brushing on a light application then bouncing the brush over your skin to press it in. Pressing lightly with a beauty sponge spritzed with setting spray (no powder!) gives it a very natural skin-like finish.I apply it pretty lightly because I found it started to get that thick, spackle-ish look if I tried going any heavier. As such, it doesn't work to cover darker sunspots or the like, but a dab of concealer fixes that. It's definitely not a full-glam foundation, but I'm really liking it for light, daily natural-looking (but better) coverage.

I used to wear Jerome Alexander's airbrush foundation and I loved it. I have tried these color adjusting foundations before and I feel like they usually are just the moisturizers with the foundation beads and when you mix it changes colors. I do not know if that is all this is but it does really blend into my skin nicely. It is a pretty good color match. It is lighter coverage which is ok for some days but when I need full coverage this is not going to work. I really like the foundation. The brush for me was a throw away. It felt cheap and the bristles felt stiff and artificial. I have a lot of kabuki brushes that are good quality so I just threw it out. Overall not a bad product.

I opted to try this in the color medium and should have gotten light. I was bummed at first because I really like the finish this provides. Then I realized I have some white color mixer (LA Girl Pro Color Foundation Mixing Pigment in White) and added a drop to this and was able to get my perfect shade. I like the slanted brush this comes with as it blends the foundation nicely and allows it to be buffed in if you want. I found that using a damp beauty blender after to lightly tap all around my complexion really puts the perfect finishing touch to this.I’m almost 55 and find this doesn’t settle badly into lines and even my pores seem less noticeable. I like that this has some skin care ingredients that my dry skin can definitely use. I really like the finish of this as it’s not too matte and not too dewy. I decided to try a little bit of this not color corrected to use as bronzer and that worked out nicely.I found this to wear well throughout the day even without using powder. I’m really happy with this and recommend. I feel it’s priced well especially with it including the brush.

I'm not a big makeup girl. I typically use a powder foundation that is very lightweight. I got this one because I liked the idea of adjusting color match, since I usually have two different shades of foundation for summer and winter.When I tried this out, I was surprised to see it come out white! It went on very smooth with the brush, although it looked like a couple of the brush hairs came out while I was blending.I couldn't "see" the color adjustment taking place, but after a few minutes, I tested it by wiping a tissue on my nose. Sure enough, it was now tan.This felt heavier on my skin than what I was used to, but I did like the amount of coverage and the ease of applying. I will definitely use this going forward when I need a full make up look and probably not for my every day look.Rating it 4 stars because of how it felt to me. If you are used to using a full coverage liquid foundation, then it probably won't feel heavier to you at all.When I washed my face that evening, there was way more makeup being washed off than normal for me. I have dark grey washcloths, and I could see the foundation on it, when I normally can't. Just a big change from what I'm used to.

This works well, I really love the brush. It distributes product really well and is so soft on the skin. The foundation is alright. I find it to be too cakey and I only use a thin layer and it gives good coverage. I have oily skin so this doesn't last as long on my skin than other products that are for oily skin.
