Ok, I wasn't expecting much for the price, but these lights are great. They're brighter than expected. The zoom works great, and then turns into the lantern if you keep going. The removable hanging hook can be attached at either end of the light depending on your needs, and makes it easier to hook onto a branch or something. I also like that the power switch is big and easy to click. It's flush with the end, so it shouldn't accidentally get turned on, and if the hook is attached and that end it will further protect it. This light is a great size to keep in a hiking pack and glove compartment. They come well protected in a storage box with bubble wrap, and include the batteries that are already installed (pull out battery tab). The lights are versatile and easy to use as a flashlight or lantern. Great to use to walk the dog! Buy them.

I came back to buy more of these after a recent power outage. I purchased the original set to put under the angel on top of our Christmas tree to light her after her lighting system failed. The mini lanterns looked better than the lights she came with.After a recent multi day power outage, I pulled these out and they were the standout winner of all other lighting sources. Fully open, they light a good sized room. You can adjust them down to almost a nightlight wattage or a very bright lantern if needed. They are lightweight and can be clipped to a beltloop or lanyard if you need to carry things. Hang them in the bathroom and they produce enough light that you can shower or get ready without constantly adjusting the light.I used them a lot over three days and didn't have to replace the batteries while the recharegeable lanterns were worthless when they died after the first day. No power, no way to easily charge them. Candles work, but it was very hot and humid and the candles only added to the miserable heat. Plus, I have a nosey cat with a long puffy tail and he was curious about the candles so I had to put them up really high to keep him from setting himself and the house on fire.I see some people say in their reviews that the light is too bright. The lanterns can be easily adjusted to the level of the light needed. I love these lanterns and am still using one daily in a small glass candle holder with a handle that I brought at the Dollar Store. I can use it on my deck and it doesn't seem to attract bugs plus it makes gorgeous patterns through the glass.10/10 will buy over and over. I'm buying one to hide in each room and in every car.

This is a very durable , bright and perfect for preppers camping and around the homestead/farm buying 4 more imediately.

The front that twists to pop-up into lantern mode is a little finicky sometimes...overall, it's not a problem. It's a bright little light and serves it's purpose well.

This is a pretty good flashlight with a lantern mode and flashlight. One thing I will say about this product is that it does come with the three triple a batteries you need to power the flashlights. They are already preinstalled and all you need to do is just remove the plastic cover blocking the connection. The flashlights are pretty sturdy. I would say it holds up pretty well as a directional flash light. It is bright and great for emergencies and such. The lantern part is bright but it definitely will not light up more than a corner of the room. It is really meant for in my opinion table top lighting. You can use the hook to say put it above your tent or such but it will not light up right below it as the main unit is blocking it. You can turn it into a lantern by twisting the top and pulling the light up. I would say as well that the product does fit well in my pocket. I have had no issues with it. The battery life will vary based on how long you use it for. It does not have rechargeable batteries. I would say however if it is not in use for long term to just flip the battery around to stop energy flow. The flashlight also does have an sos function. It is just a light tap to the power button to turn that on. The flash light is pretty well built and could withstand a drop here or there. Overall this is a great flash light to have for trips or emergencies.

These are adorable! I bought them for a camping trip and they were so helpful when it got dark! I thought it was a great value for the price!

These little flashlights/lanterns have some nice features: - built-in belt/hanger loop made of metal, can be installed and moved to either end - flashlight beam can be adjusted from "flood" to "spotlight" - unscrew the flashlight to extend it to form a lantern that stands up on it's own - push-button switch in base (off-High-off-Medium-off-strobe then the cycle repeats)This is a 2-pack of LED flashlights. Each light is powered by a 3-pack of AAA batteries (included), you just need to unscrew the base to remove to cardboard insulator then reinstall the base. The flashlights are smaller than I expected, I have shown them next to a 12-ounce can of Coke for comparison. The size of the battery pack makes these flashlights small and lightweight, but I have not run a test to find out long the AAA batteries will last. I wish the manufacturer had a model that featured a trio of AA batteries, but of course then the light would have a larger diameter and be slightly heavier.As others have mentioned, the pushbutton on/off switch in the base of the light protrudes a bit and makes the stand-up lantern a bit wobbly. You have to unscrew the base to replace the batteries. Since the threads are plastic and rather fine, it is easy to cross-thread the base when reinstalling it, but once you are aware of this, it's not a problem.I don't care for the strobe feature of the light, it flashes way too fast. It would be more useful if it blinked more slowly (more like a car turn signal). Unfortunately the strobe feature cannot be bypassed or disabled.

Bought this for my daughter as she enjoys pretending she's exploring. It's a great little item and a bonus you get two for the price.
