Worth it for older vehicles that need some help
The sound deading material holds to curves well. It sticks to the bare/painted metal of a 30 year old vehicle well.I used it to cover the back hatch of a xj along with the wheel well areas and the back hatch and I still have several feet that I intend on putting on the floor boards when I pull that carpet up later.Since I had the cat stolen from me... The jeep is loud and this helped calm down the noise in the cab so I can hear things again.Without a decibel meter I cannot tell you how much the reduction was but... The rattle from the back and the feel in the seat is better. There will need to be more put in to fully help.This was the cheapest material I could find for the size, it works well and covers quite a bit of area. I would buy it again and I probably will when I pull the headliner down.As for heat, summer is coming and I am hoping this helps keep the back cooler. We will see what happens.My goal with the jeep is to build a nice daily driver for a cheap as I can, think low car, so far I am doing pretty well at that.

It worked for me.
I have a Nissan SUV that is so tinny that you cannot carry on a conversation on the Highway. I bought this on a chance, took out the spare from its well, and placed in a few overlapping layers in a crosshatch pattern. Placed the tire back in and then spent another $18.00 on a cheap plush rug under the fake floor and above the spare tire cover. Now it is a whole different car and a pleasure to drive for about $70 total expense. If you have a noisy, cheap SUV......give it a chance.

Good for Auto Noise Management

I own a late model vehicleI originally cleaned all surfaces with degreaser. I got spotty sticking. Cleaned next installation areas with lacquer thinner. Solved my adhesion issues.
