Cheap one's are a waste of money.
Don't listen to people who say an hdmi cable is just an hdmi cable, it's not!! This cable delivers better contrast and colour than other cheap ones. Don't say you haven't been told. This cable is excellent!

Up to the usual high QED standard
I had a (not very cheap) common electronics store HDMI cable. It looks well made and solid on the outside and it works with most devices. However, it would not work with my Blu Ray player. Decided to go back to QED and get theirs. Plugged it in and everything works immediately. I have been using QED cables for some 15 years now, including the now dead standards of SCART and 3 component. There has never been any issue with any of them. Sure, the reviewed cable is 2 to 3 times more than a common HDMI cable, but it is worth its price for me.
