very well made and very nice looking. Seen these in Japan on visits to larger shrine and the cost was about the same and didn't have to worry about how to get back on the plane. I'm glad offered here on Amazon.

The kamidana along with the vessels, mirror and the artificial sasaki plants arrived well packaged and damage-free in a week, much sooner than expected. As others described, the kamidana is beautiful and is a truly an eye catcher. Minor assembly is required (no English instructions) but there are intuitive diagrams on the box and takes a matter of minutes to put together. The seven vessels are packed separately in a smaller box and is well wrapped/padded to prevent damage during transit. As suspected, the "mirror" isn't a real glass mirror but a metallic/chrome looking convex disc that fits smartly in the hinoki base/stand that accompanies it. I thought I'd replace it with a true mirror until seeing how good it looked with the kamidana. Price point was over $100 less than the same item offered to me by an eBay seller. At the top of my list of purchases this year that will compete with my samurai armor in my Japanese (tatami) room for top billing.
