Does the use of the key reset the combination every time?

If you are asking if the combination is changed every time a key is used to open the lock, the answer is no. The combination is not changed unless the correct maneuvers are made. If a key is used to open the lock because of a forgotten or unknown combination code, it is extremely unlikely that the rather complicated maneuvers for changing the combination code will have been accidentally implemented. Thus, the combination code will most likely remain unchanged.
