I wish I had this atlas during my medical studies
The media could not be loaded. Unlike other atlases that can be as hard as a brick, this one has a perfect balance between detailed content and usability. I could put it in my coat pocket. Each chapter begins with an introduction, and the image descriptions give an important context to each topic, something I missed during my own med studies. The summary tables are quite useful, in particular those summarizing muscle origin, insertion, innervation and functions, and in general all those facts clusters you need to learn by heart. I also liked that I can connect with my Kenhub account very quickly for deeper information via the QR codes.I also found the racial inclusivity innovative and impressive, something I hadn’t noticed in other atlases so far, and which as a medical doctor I find super important to be present already in preclinical fundamental sciences such as anatomy. Nowadays I’m a doctor working in anatomy education and I’ll definitely be relying on this book.

Small and with very beautiful anatomy images
The media could not be loaded. This is a great atlas to carry with you in the lab or in the school. It has clear and easy-to-understand images. The text that complements the images is also concise and well-written. The best part of the atlas is its tables. They contain all the important information about a topic in a brief and comprehensive table. You can use the tables for revisions or in order to memorize a topic. It's connected with Kenhub and you can easily switch from the book to kenhub website with the QR codes that lead you to the related parts of the website.I highly recommend this atlas, as opposed to the larger and heavier ones, for students who are interested in learning anatomy.

Stellar illustrations
Amazing page layout and design. Also worth noting the already detailed illustrations showing varied skin tones is refreshing.

What is the best application for this anatomy text, and what are the alternatives?
Application? If used as a dissection guide, the main competitor is Grant's Atlas which is more expensive and was the tried and true regional dissection guide when I was in med school. I do not know if this is the current standard. If used as a stand alone anatomy book (you do not have need for a dissection guide), try out the Ken-Hub on-line images and tables and determine if they are useful as a reference compared to other texts.Main strength of Ken-Hub is the on-line video lectures (I use these in teaching) and are definitely definitely worth a trial membership. Are there other choices for anatomy videos? Difficult to access on-line videos from sites such as Primal Anatomy unless you have professional qualifications. The main weakness of the Ken Hub Anatomy book is lack of clinical correlation. Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy or Netter's Sports Medicine are better purchases for the home user trying to understand the anatomy/physiology of a given disease (what does my fatty look like and how did it happen to me?) What does an ACL torn ligament look like?Another perspective/viewpoint is Sectional Anatomy by MRI and CT (Anderson). Useful for radiologists (I am a retired radiologist) or possibly useful for researchers, but very expensive and way over the top for the average non-physician.

If youre taking an anatomy class (or even just interested in anatomy) you need this book. It has great illustrations for every part of the body and pairs nicely with the kenhub website. I highly recommend this book to any student.

My Book is Missing Pages
Book skips from 335-366 and duplicates pages 303-334. I have messaged the seller with no response.

I love it!!
This atlas is really amazing. It’s not exactly pocket sized but it is small enough to fit a lab pocket, which is good enough for me. One thing I would mention that surprised me was seeing other races and body sizes, that’s really cool to see. What I love most is how the QR codes connect to the exact article on kenhub. I’m already subscribed to kenhub, so this is perfect for me as I can navigate my studying more easily.
