It's mostly just for looks. staple remover works just fine, the stapler really only seems to work when it's sitting on a desk (I get loose staples when I try to hold it in my hand, unless I really clasp/press down hard with my other hand), and the tape dispenser is a little enraging simply because of a design flaw. There's no catch for the notches of the dispenser, so when you go to lift the piece of tape to pull it the dispenser's roller rises up and falls off...you need to use your other hand to press it down and make sure it doesn't fall off of the track. The clear plastic seems to be lasercut, which is why I say it's enraging--could have easily been fixed after a prototype was tested!

I haven't had any problems with the tape dispenser or the staple remover. However, the stapler has never worked. If a staple is actually released, it isn't bent, but sticking out of the paper. It is always jammed, even after I've cleaned it out.

Stapler does not work at all. Looks great from afar but the material is plastic and coated gold. It's very cheap feeling for the price. I've tried many different staples and stapler only jams every time. Tape dispenser is too light to even allow you to tear the tape. Only thing that works is the staple remover. Looks pretty but now just wasting space on my desk...

I loved the color of these. They look great on my desk. It would be helpful if I could use the stapler though. If you are looking for function, keep shopping.

This stationary set is great! I ordered this set because I hate clutter and wanted to keep my workstation neat and organized without the eye sore of desk accessories. Whether I'm at my desk or not, my workstation always looks neat and stylish.

Add color to your desk while being functional. Multi chrome goes with almost any color. It goes well with a mason jar full of erasers and pencils and pens. It’s great to functionally decorate your fest with!

The stapler is built so that it won't push down all the way. This makes it so it won't release and fold the staple properly. The stapler remover and tape dispenser are nice, but the stapler is useless.

I bought these for my office as it is accented in gold. They are beautiful office accessories but the stapler just doesn't staple. It said it should staple 15 or more sheets and I couldn't even get it to staple 9 sheets together. For the price I would've hoped for better quality, not just cosmetic appearance.
