Good Price. Good Product.
Worked for me set at 6. I used the metal strips included, and hope to use it to rebuild battery packs for Harbor Freight power tools.

Great purchase
Super easy to use. The copper pin in one of the probes fell inside the probe handle and I had to shake it out and one of the probes had fallen apart but it only took 2 seconds to reassemble. Other than that it's what I anticipated. Unit is smaller than expected but works perfectly and does as advertised. I'm genuinely impressed.

Does a good job of welding battery tabs
I charged up the welder's internal battery and used the supplied nickle strips this came to rebuild a Makita battery pack. It has no problems making the welds.

Though it gets warm if doing a large battery pack, keep it charged and allow occasionally time for the cable leads to cool and it works great

BARELY WORKS FOR BATTERY WELDING
I bought this to make some 18650 battery packs. I bought the titanium strips and the shrink wrap. I figured welding the batteries together would be a piece of cake. One of the first things I noticed was that it turned on without being plugged in. I thought maybe it was a battery operated unit, but that wasn't mentioned anywhere in the description. So I plugged it in and went to work on my first battery. When I put the 2 electrodes on the strip and pressed the pedal, I heard the "snap" of the weld. The strip didn't stick at level 5 power, so I cranked it to max and repeated. This time it stuck a little better, but also came off with minimal effort. I had to repeatedly "weld" the tab all over in order to get the strip to permanently attach to the battery. I'm not sure if my unit is defective or if this is how it's supposed to work but it *barely* did the job. Thank goodness I only had to make 2 battery packs!

It gets quite weak after ten welds.
Once the battery voltage monitor falls below about 4.1 volts, the welds get noticeably weaker and I could only successfully weld 0.10 mm. I stacked the strips three thick to get the amperage I was looking for. I also bought a identical welder with an 8,000 mm battery for less money, but it did not have removable foot pedal and removable welding probes. No big deal. If they fall off you can open it and resolder them. I would recommend that one instead

Works as advertised..
I've only made 50 or 60 welds with the device (no re-charge yet) and every one has been 0 ohms and mechanically sound. I did a pull out test using tabs also bought on amazon and there is little difference in pull apart strength between a weld at 60% and a weld at maximum.

Works just as advertisement says with no problems.
I have used this product to build multiple batteries with no problems.
