My husband was pleasantly impressed!
The installation of the device was easy but I recommend reading the comprehensive manual to familiarize with its syncing capabilities, etc.My husband used this device for work and was pleasantly impressed! So, in the box you'll have everything you'll need for installation of the intercom system. There's two types of mic depending on what helmet you are using. My husband using the open face because of it's cool flexibility. The speakers comes with velcro spacers but for my husband's case he doesn't need it so he just attached it to the helmet directly. It's very easy to install because of the detachable wires connectors. Becareful not to bend or pinch the wires because this might cause some static. The device mount easy with its 3M double sided tape. The products comes with cleaning cloth/pad, so make sure you clean the area where you going to mount the device. You need to determine as well the position of where you are going to place it because you cannot remove it once you already place it in. It is also important to take note that you are placing it in an accessible spot where you can attach the wires easily. The buttons are easy to use and husbands love the simplicity of adjusting the volume. My husband has no complaints with the Bluetooth capabilities because its strong and the audio/sound is very clear even with bunch of people talking. Maybe because of its noise cancelling. It eliminates sounds like the wind, vehicle, and others background noise. The only thing my husband didn't try is the music sharing capabilities as he doesn't need it at work.Really cool device for its price range, definitely recommended!

Best in class in-helmet audio!
Like you, I was looking all over Amazon for a blue tooth device that would allow my spouse to check up on me while I was riding. I decided to go with Bike Comm after reading all the great reveiws, and it didn't disappoint! The sound quality is great, even at highway speeds with the visor open. I can make and receive calls with no problem and everyone tells me they can't her any distortion or wind noise whatsoever. At first I wished the volume would be a bit louder, but now I think it's perfect, because you can hear what's coming through the speakers as well as what is going on around you. Definitely not noise canceling, but you wouldn't want them to be. I don't use the intercom feature, so I can't speak to how it does while connected to other riders, but I expect it's outstanding as well. Installation seemed intimidating at first, but once you get the wires all sorted out it's pretty intuitive as to where they go. Your helmet will guide you and there is plenty of wire to work with. My only gripe is that I couldn't find a spot on my helmet where all the adhesive would make contact, but trust me, the mount isn't going anywhere! VERY strong bond, so really make sure you have it exactly where you want it before sticking the mount on. If you're on the fence or still looking, I think you should guve this one a try. You won't be disappointed.Update: I purchased a new helmet and had to remove the mount from my old helmet and it wasn't as hard as I thought. If you take your time and slowly pull it off it won't damage your helmet. And thankfully the unit comes with a second 3M glue strip, so again, still love it!

A real pain to install.
Junk. You need at 5 amp charging block which is not included. It takes forever to charge. Getting them to pair? No need to worry, they will not work anyway. They are expensive JUNK! Can't return 'em. Got them for the holidays. No happy.

Out of the Box AWESOME! (UPDATE: 12/12/23)
BACKGROUND - Ok...We've been snowmobiling now for a little over a year. When you ride together (usually 2 of us. Sometimes more), we have found the NOT having a form of communication makes it difficult to know where you are going, whether someone needs to stop for a bathroom break or to take photos, has a mechanical issue or someone has taken a wrong trail. So, after some research, I wanted to make sure I DID NOT buy anything from CHINA. I don't support that country's government or believe system. What I found was that 99% DO come from China. I did find this one set from Taiwan. Taiwan has some of the finest computer chip manufacturers available so I decided what the heck. I bought a 2 device box with hopes that this will work. They are expensive for what they are...So, out of the box, I installed the mic and speakers. We have one modular helmet and one full-faced helmet. It took about 30 minutes to do both (the first one longer than the second one).FULL-FACE HELMET - (GMax GM-11S) The full-faced helmet was much easier. Take out the pads (they snap in) on both sides and one on the back. Route the wires and install the speakers and mic. Using tape will hold the wires in place. Snap the pads back in when finished. The full-face helmet installation was easy and had pockets for speakers.MODULAR HELMET - (Castle Atom SV) The modular lift helmet was harder. The mic wires have to literally hang on one side. I tuck them back after placing the helmet on. I see no other way of doing this yet. The speakers were very difficult to fit the pockets as they were larger than the holes allowed. But fight it a few minutes and they WILL go in.CHARGING - Placed the devices on charge. They come partially charged. You have to supply YOUR OWN charger though. They ARE NOT supplied. With two helmets, you'll need two chargers. You can use your cell phone chargers. The unit requires 5V Regular charge. If your cell phone charger is a rapid charge DO NOT USE IT. You can burn out the battery. If the battery is empty, it can take 2.5 hours to recharge. Our units must have been partially charged. It took about 20 min on one and 30 min on the other. The box advertised about 10-14 hours of run time. When its 0 degrees outside, you usually won't be out all that long at a time.CONTROLS - There are only 3 buttons. I wasn't too comfortable having to memorize a 1000 different settings for everything. But as it turns out, this is a very smart unit and easy to use. For volume, the front button extends out form the unit and goes up and down. I can see using this on the fly even with gloves on. It should be fine. On or Off - pull the front volume button down and press the large back button for 2 seconds. The middle button will rarely be used by us. We bought these set MAINLY as intercom between two of us. The mid button is used to go between Instant Link and Dual Music Chatting modes. It is also used to "pair" devices but you don't typically need this button while riding. That's pretty much it once set up (if your adding phones, GPS, or other units).SOUND - The sound these little speakers put out is awesome. Reminds me of the old Sony Walkman's (for those who remember). Not bad at all!PERFORMANCE 1 - Basically, if you are using these for intercom only, they are PERFECT! Right out the box, I had to do nothing but turn them on. That is EXACTLY what we wanted. We don't want to use this for phone service or GPS. We ride routine trails and if we need to figure out a new one, we stop. We use some kind of trail map service on our phone to see where we want to go. It gives everyone a break anyway. If all this set did was provide intercom, we could not be happier. Some of you "techies" might like the other features. We'll talk to friends, family and work when we get home or to the nearest gas station, restaurant or pub. NOT while riding! And where we are and where we ride, cell phone service is bad at best.CONCERNS - At this time, we just have one problem. When in Dual Chatting/Music Sharing mode, there is static (similar to a loose wire connection). It does not matter if one one helmet is on or both. It does not matter if music is playing or not. So, for now, we will simply put the units back into Instant Link mode. The primary can still BT to the phone in Instant Link mode for music WITHOUT the static. I will be contacting company resources to see what can be done and report back. Helmet 2 can still BT to their phone, listen to music and also be static free. Its only when in the Chatting mode there is a problem.MUSIC - Another thing about music sharing...The unit can only intercom between two units in the Dual Music Chatting Mode. If you have 6 riders with intercom, the unit has to be placed back into Instant Link mode. Then, everyone can carry their own phone or MP3 loaded with music without sharing with each other.TRAIL TESTING - We have not trail tested these units for distance or connectivity yet. That will come in in the next few days and we will report performance.STARS - On initial installation, setup connectivity and sound, we give it 4.5 stars. If we can get the company to help fix the static issue in Dual Chatting Mode, we'll raise that to a 5.0. If not, we'll drop it to a 3.0. We don't like paying for something that doesn't perform as advertised.Additional stars will go up or down after we test the units out on the trail.UPDATE 12/12/23:STAR RANKING: The star ranking remains the same. We can't give it a perfect score as the issue with the static in Dual Chatting mode has not gone away. I reached out back when to see if BK could assist. They are receptive in the email but wanted me to 'video' what was happening so they could maybe determine the issue. To date, I have not done that but still plan to. We remain in Instant Link mode.DISTANCE: As for distance testing, in a line of site situation, we are able to get about 1 mile apart. On the back woods trails (heavily forested) we've never been more than 1/4 mile apart but they work really well.SOUND QUALITY: These are obviously NOT Bose headsets but really, they are pretty decent for such small sound. I generally run with the volume up about 3/4 of the way to near full volume. We use these headsets for snowmobiling. As for the mic, it does a pretty decent job of picking up voice. The voice does not break up. We talk just like we do on a land phone. The key seems to be in the placement of the mic in each helmet.CHARGING: Make sure you have a place to set these helmets next to an outlet. You'll need to provide your own charger and DON'T use a fast charger. Use a slow charger. You'll potentially do damage to the headset per the instructions. There is a cord included but it's fairly short. One thing we learned...When off-season is here, we put the helmets away. Over time in storage the batteries will drain down. When we got them out for this season, I charged them back up. Afterward, we turned them on and had all kinds of problems as one headset went back to Chat mode. It took several hours of monkeying around to finally get them back to where they would connect again. They also had to be re-linked together. We're not sure if that is a result of running low on battery or what. But they are now working in Instant-link mode again and have not been an issue since.OVERALL SATISFACTION: Overall, we are satisfied even if we can't use the dual chat/music mode properly. We bought these with the intent of strictly being able to communicate with one another and with that, we are satisfied. As these sets are expensive compared to alternatives, if your set works in dual chat/music and instant-link modes, it's well worth the money. We may be purchasing a cheaper set in the future as we have multiple riders that we ride with. We'll see if the quality is different. We'll see if they connect with the BK set we own as stated in the manual. Stay tuned.
