Version 2.0

I Think I Missed This Album
Initially, I would have gotten this album shortly after it came out, however, I lost it and many of my other CDs in a spree of recklessness when I was younger. Over the last few years I have been trying to make restitution for this to some of the bands I loved in my youth and myself which is why I jumped on the opportunity to pick up a new copy of this album when it presented itself.Something that really sticks out on this album by comparison to the copy I would have gotten the first time around is that it also came with a whole CD of B-side tracks. Some of these tracks are legitimately good like “Deadwood” and “Soldier Through This” which makes me wonder how they never made it onto a studio album. As a fan, I was glad to be able to get access to this material so I guess it worked out for the best that I lost my initial copy as had I still had it I probably would not have been compelled to pick it up again. As with some other albums that I have, I elected to remaster Version 2.0 into high quality, lossless, 192 kbps, .wma files using an LG UHD BD writer on my PC. Whether or not this was necessary I don’t know but I sort of considered it a way that I could further my amends towards the band as well as learn from the errors of my old ways (e.g., not leave my CDs in my vehicle). Although, there are .mp3 files available at a higher kbps for sale elsewhere it is my opinion that the .wma file format is superior even at lower bit rates since they are lossless files. I know I can definitely hear the difference between a lossless and lossy file (something like .mp3) in my current setup but there is also a chance that my setup is more conducive to files in .wma format than .mp3 which means the same experience may not be universal. That being said, I could not have remastered this album had I not been able to come across a physical copy of it in CD format. This is part of the reason that I continue to advocate for music media stored on physical formats. Having access to liner notes and artwork are also added benefits that physical media continues to have over digital media. Yes, I find it somewhat disheartening when the only way that I can get access to music from my favorite artists is through a digital format as has been the case with some of the EPs I have picked up (or am considering picking up) as of late.On a different note, the CD case for this album showed up slightly damaged. Luckily, it did not affect the performance of the CDs but this album did not show up from delivery in mint condition. I had the same experience with a few other CDs that I ordered through Amazon recently and would suggest that maybe Amazon use some better shippers for items such as this since the jewel cases on CDs is pretty fragile in the first place making it prone to cracking. Of course, there is a chance that the damage didn’t take place in the Amazon operation and could have happened elsewhere.Overall, I am quite glad to have this album back in my music library. Garbage continues to bring diversity to my music collection that I feel it lacks since I tend to gravitate more towards punk rock and heavy metal in my music preferences. This album has plenty of excellent singles including “Push It” and “I Think I’m Paranoid” which I feel are excellent songs and helped launch the band’s career to where they are at today. Thanks for the album and sorry for any previous harms that may have been done as a result of losing my first copy of it.

I love Garbage!
I missed this record when it was originally released on the 20th anniversary, so I didn't get the cool orange vinyl or the extra discs with the B-Sides - that version is being scalped on eBay for upwards of $300 dollars now, which is ridiculous. So, I got this one, and am happy as a clam to have it on vinyl. What can I say? It's a great record, and Garbage will always be a personal favorite band of mine.

Nice!
This one arrived undamaged and in one beautiful piece. The vinyl is glossy and quiet, the sound quality is amazing! Reading other reviews here had me worried but it's perfect.

Great album. Sounds great on vinyl. Very fancy.
Packaged very well. Sleeves and jackets are very nice. It’s got an extra large card board case, sealed by magnets around the jacket and sleeves(the case is the cover art and back cover art). The jacket is a book like jacket with nice sleeves inside(the jacket book is again front cover art and back cover art. Inside book is large picture. A little pricey but a bit fancy:). If you love it, you gotta get it:)

The Best Album of 1998
Recorded entirely on the Macintosh, 2.0 is a BRILLIANT PIECE OF ARTWORK that satisfies every time. From the opening track’s Temptation Waits insane fading drum roll out, it never yields, nor does it never fail to ALWAYS take me right back there - - AND LIKE AN ADDICT: ALWAYS WANTING MORE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Imprescindible
