It works, but not smoothly.
This lock will work, but it is not made nearly as well as the Ives by Schlage 42B10B Pocket Sliding Door Bolt. The Ives has a much better pivot and clicks into both positions. The pivot for this one does not click and is not smooth to operate.

Great quality and functionality!
I'm a professional baby proofer. I use these locks frequently. They are good quality and come in many different finishes to match your door hardware. Important to keep in mind - You need a Forstner bit to install these locks, which you can buy online, at the home stores or lumberyards. You can not install these with regular twist or spade drill bits.

Great
Works if you know how to install.

Easy little pocket door lock!
It does work, but feels much cheaper than I was expecting. These are sort of unusual locks for a sliding door, and I've only seen one in someone else's home. Theirs was very study and made of heavy brass- and ultimately was what I was hoping to find. Unable to find anything like the one I saw, I purchased this one! It locks the door just fine, and I'm excited to not use a stupid pocket door twist lock- but it feels like stamped cheap metal. Get what you pay for! I will be glad to use this until I can find a really nice replacement lock.

Thought theses looked neat but upon receiving they are a little cheap. Though the price reflects this. Most likely will not buy again.
