Clearly you will expect some variation in quality when an item is hand-carved. In this case, the choice of stone being Labradorite has probably not helped because of the distraction to the eye of the various different blotches of colour.A flat nose and lack of any mouth makes the rabbit appear quite strange, and the only reason you would know it was a rabbit is probably because the long ears are reasonably well defined, certainly by comparison to the rest of the piece. It probably looks best from the rear looking out of the window, perhaps, or towards another item. Certainly, if you’re looking at it from most other angles, you wouldn’t be able to identify what it was.It is simply packed in a piece of bubble wrap inside a small bag. Given the quality of carving, despite the fact it is carved from a piece of stone, it feels a little overpriced for what you get.
