It's easy to fill and easy to pump and I love the design.

I purchased this pump to use at my kitchen sink for dishsoap after having had the bathroom (shorter) versions. I had one bathroom pump, then I ordered another...so you can see I'm a loyal fan!The pump is fantastic and clearer, at least to me, than other pumps. There is a clear cup (think bathroom sink cup) with threading at the top lip, which the entire pump (housed in the metallic part) screws onto. This "cup" means I can clean inside of it, can reach all corners of the inside of the lotion/soap holder.The pump feels solid, as it's not just the nozzle sticking out that you press down on-- you press down on the entire top (think of patting a penguin on the head...).The brushed metal look is nice- it's not too shiny, looks classy. Also, I like the view-window to let me know when I'm getting low on soap (though you can always see that on the bottom, where the soap cup is visible on the bottom). I got what I expected: a quality soap pump from Umbra. I should also state that this has been in use many, many times per day (I clean a LOT of baby bottles and pump parts daily) and it shows no signs of problems. Great product!

Some people noted in the reviews of this product that rusted develop. I have three of these and rest is never developed. I use a very generic soap. I don't dilute it with water. Maybe it's more a problem with the type of soap or dilution than the actual product itself.The nozzle is somewhat fragile. I've never had one break off but I can certainly imagine that it is not well seeded nor is the metal nozzle firmly attached to the main body. It is possible to twisted but I have pushed it in firmly in those cases.Overall I love the style. It's easy to push down. A small amount of soap comes out. It's easy to refill.I use these for face soap in the bathroom and shower. I also use them for dishwashing soap by the side of the sink.I like the design. I like the ergonomics. I understand it is a relatively simple product that lends itself to problems due to the fact that it appears to be rather simply made. However, I find it both attractive and easy to use.

I have two Umbra penguin soap pumps at the kitchen sink - one for soap and the other for lotion. They have been in frequent use for a couple of years with never a clog or a drip! Both of mine are black, so I use different colors of soap & lotion so that no one gets confused. I like that I can see the fill level through the front, so I don't risk finding the container empty when I need it most. It is easy to press on the top with my clean wrist or the back of my hand, so I never have to touch the dispenser with dirty or greasy fingers - this means the dispensers still look good after all this time. The (black) case cover unscrews from a clear, wide-mouth container, so it is super easy to refill. I had a chrome caddy that grapefruit scented soap & lotion came in, and the Umbra dispensers fit perfectly into that caddy. This purchase has worked out really well for me. An easy 5 stars.

I've been using these pumps for over a year and love them! I use one in the bathroom and another in the kitchen.IMO they combine style, functionality and durability beautifully.The design of this dispenser is awesome - modern, sleek, and cool. The "window" allows you to see the level of soap/lotion in it, which is a feature I really appreciate (no more guessing how much soap is left in the dispenser).Best of all, the dispensers are ultra easy to fill. The opening is wide (about 3" in diameter) so you can pour soap/lotion into it easily, without spills, overflow, having to wipe messes, etc.I've purchased SOOOOOO many dispensers in the past 20 years, and these Umbra Penguins are my absolute favorite. IMO they're a bargain too, especially with free shipping through Amazon Prime.Buy this... you'll love it!

Bought one, loved the look. Impossible to figure out how to refill. Not sure how both directions will unlock (see photo) . Broke it trying to refill. Liked the design so much, bought another. Just broke the 2nd one trying to refill. Not happy.

just what I wanted. It works, it's easy. well-designed. I recommend it!
