Excellent addition to anyone's kitchen.

It seems as though the best candidate for this salty gift pack would be the person that's brought up the word "brining" in casual conversation more than once. The person that uses their outdoor grill a LOT. THAT person. I don't know whether or not these would be their top four favorite flavors, however!NOT being that person, and trying them out for review, we're only mildly impressed with the actual flavor of the 'unusual' blends... himalayan salt you can of course get by itself. But the bacon-salt, the garlic-salt, and the pepper-salt combo blends are distinct to this brand, and they don't seem to be done in an extraordinary way. We add a lot of extra spices to foods, but tend to not add a lot of extra salt. Considering you can add pepper and salt "to taste" in a million recipes, the main focus here can be on the garlic and bacon varieties, which are interesting. I do indeed like adding the garlic salt blend to a lot of things, especially stir fry efforts. The bacon salt blend just doesn't get a lot of use. I like to sprinkle it into melted cheese on a veggie burger or chicken sandwich, but the bacon vibe is overpowered a bit by the salt vibe.Hey, we always need some salt, and these four giftable jars will fit the bill for the outdoor griller. For the rest of us, maybe not as much. 3.5 stars.

These are delicious salt blends, perfect for grilling or sprinkling on vegetables or popcorn. The Himalayan is course and delicious. The other blends have the same course Himalayan salt with different seasonings. My favorite is the garlic medley. It’s got a fresh herby flavor with a hint of garlic and isn’t too overpowering. All of their salt mixes are vegan except for the bacon blends. These arrived super fresh with no clumping and the screw top containers work well.

They all kind of taste like.. salt.The bacon one tastes like artificial bacon, overpowered by salt. The garlic medley tastes like.. salt. The salt is salt. And the 5 pepper tastes like salt and pepper.They're good though! I like salt, so why not have 4 different flavored salts!!!

I added the garlic medley to my mashed potatoes last night and the bacon to my eggs this morning. Both were amazing!

This is a very attractively packaged set of four different salts. Each comes in a small (4oz) wide mouth glass jar. There is no shaker top, but that's to be expected given that they are medium to coarse grained salts. It's always easier to scoop a coarse grained salt than try to get it through a shaker top. The set comes in a very nice presentation box with padding on the inside. It makes for an attractive gift set.The salts themselves are pretty good, but not super special. The simplest is the Himalayan salt, which is a basic pink Himalayan. It's a medium grain, and there were a number of clumps in the jar. Still, it was a nice, simple salt. The 5 Pepper salt is more coarse grained, consisting of a mix of sea salt, black, pink, green and white peppercorns, and allspice. It has a nice look and a nice flavor. The only issue I had was that a few of the peppercorn pieces were very large. That's fine if this is used as a rub, but not ideal if it's used as a finishing/seasoning salt.The Garlic Medley is probably my favorite. It is a medium grained sea salt with dehydrated bell pepper, garlic, black pepper, onion, sugar, celery, parsley and natural flavor (the latter is not defined further than that). It has a very nice flavor, especially for vegetable seasoning.I was somewhat disappointed in the Smoked Bacon. The smoky flavor and scent is clearly there, but the bacon is not. It is a sea salt that is smoked over Alderwood, and natural bacon flavor. The smoke flavor and scent are excellent, but the bacon flavor is so muted that people in the household who didn't see the label were surprised that it had "bacon" in the title.As with any gift set, the cost per ounce is way up there since you're paying for the packaging and presentation in addition to the product. Even so, I'd rate the value as decent considering the specialty nature of the items. Four stars.

I have been using this for about a week ago. This is a very good quality fine salt but it lacks flavor when using it.What it is:This is a set of 4 salts. Each glass jar is 4 ounces. Each have a salty flavor. Each with the exception of the Himalayan salt contains sea salt. As with sea salt, I find it has less salty flavor on foods.Garlic Medley- it has a light roasted garlic flavor that when I use it, I can't find the garlic flavor.5 pepper- this has a light peppery taste. Again when I use it, I can't find the pepper flavor.Smoked bacon- this has a smoky flavor. I have made fries with it and it tastes great. It does not taste like bacon though, just smoke.Himalayan salt- a nice pure salt.4 stars:Good quality salts with light flavors. For me, I am looking for a bold flavored salt. This is not it. This made me consider 3 stars over 4. I went with the 4 stars because I feel the salts themselves are a premium quality.These are mild tasting salts that I almost find more flavorful if added as a finishing salt. These are NOT bold flavors. These are light delicate flavored.
