Injection Volume 1 (INJECTION TP)

Most excellent beginning.
Clever writing, fantastic art, and a story which pulls together several themes as a group of people with extraordinary talents are introduced. I cannot wait for Volume 2 to be released in July. This could be the start of something very wonderful.

A smorgasbord of genres from science fiction to horror and mystery
The premise so far is relatively interesting with decent artwork and an outstanding colour palette. The story introduces the 5 central characters, all acclaimed geniuses responsible for a dangerous calamity that threatens mankind. Essentially it builds up to be a redemption story with supernatural elements and ancient folklore that delves further on into the storyline. It is intended to stimulate the mind with mystery and unanswered questions that leave you with a myriad of thoughts and theories relating to future events and the true psychology of these characters.Overall I highly recommend this series to the thinkers of the comic book reading demographic, those who seek out the answers and logic behind a story without having it laid out in front of them. (Personally i read the book twice, so as to analyse the plot as clearly as possible)

Great fun
I was really unsure when I started this, to know what it was all about, but after about 20% in it really gets into its stride. Funny and scary. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Three Stars
Didn't really understand the premise, but the second book apparently makes more sence.

The best comic series of the last 10 years
In many ways a 21st Century version of Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill's League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Injection takes analogues of UK heroes such as Sherlock Holmes, James Bond and Doctor Who and drags them into the internet age to face a learning algorithm that might also be a demon? The writing is crisp and the characters all feel fresh despite their provenance.

especially when Google research turned up articles and talks my Warren Ellis on the subject - 'what would a Hauntological litera
The other day I was reading an old (2011) article on Hauntology and everything about Injection dropped into place, especially when Google research turned up articles and talks my Warren Ellis on the subject - 'what would a Hauntological literature look like?' he asked. At this point I suspect a lot of people are going 'what the hell does that mean?' - so ditching the academic stuff, its about the present being haunted by the ghosts of lost futures. In musical terms it's about records with names like 'Stasis' and allusions to Nigel Kneale's 'The Stone Tape' and Arthur Machen - both of which Injection references. But unlike much hauntolgical music, there is also a contemporary edge (information theory, peak innovation).Saying anything in detail about the plot would essentially spoil the book, but if you like a bit of Quatermass / sapphire and Steel / X-Files I suspect you will enjoy - its right on that 'science meets the unexplained' line.

Exceptionally good, very much a comic for grown-ups without going down the whole 'pervy sex' line.

does any one know if there will be further issues or was it cancelled
it is March 18 on the 3rd day of a lock downI just finished reading The Woods in total.(if you have teenagers or teach you have to read this series)now I just finished volume 1 of injection ,what can I say it is not for everyone It may be one of the most complicatedintelligent books out there. warren Ellis alongside Grant Morrison Nail Gaiman and Alan Moore are arguably the most smart comic writers out there right now. the main characters a black James Bond a black D.R who a dark skin super Sherlock Holmes and a lead female anti hero that kicks magical technological folkloric ass with her skinny baggy eyes sleep deprived poorly fed self. I have never seen an anti hero so determined and driven as her.what can I say great plot great characterization and very good art...I hope I will see more of them.Perhaps this Corona virus epidemic can lead to a future plot for Injection. well its back to reading Netflix and amazon prime be safe.

Smart Psychological Thriller
This was a great book. I've really grown to love Warren Ellis' writing, he writes assuming his readers are intelligent enough to figure stuff out for themselves, or at least put in the effort to read between the lines, which I appreciate. He gives you just enough information to keep you hooked and wanting to unravel the mystery. Injection is a really cool concept and I'm really excited to see where it goes. And I can't say enough about Declan Shalvey's art, it is absolutely phenomenal and suits the story so well. I also love how each of the five characters are based off popular British pop-culture figures (Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, Doctor Who...etc). Looking forward to digging into volume 2!
