First impression - HORRIBLE! Second take - no better
I can't even figure out how this thing is supposed to fit. The part of a regular balaclava that would come down onto my forehead sticks out like it a useless brim unless I pull the bottom of the opening below my chin. Where the bottom of the face opening is supposed to fall is a complete mystery. If I pull the opening down under my chin it makes the top come over my forehead, but it is very tight (as in, intolerable). The bottom of the opening seems to want to sit just under my nose - Yuk!. If I don't pull the opening down below my chin, the add-on piece leaves a gap. Just weird. Perhaps it fits better on miniature heads. The snout cup has some apparently non-funcitonal add-on piece inside. I bought this on a deep discount, so I won't bother to return it. I am suspicious that the version I got is actually an early one that is no longer in production. The manufacturer's website is equally horrible, making it an exercise in torture to try to see the photos (that apparently are hosted elsewhere). There's a video, but after the first minute and a half of some bozo standing in front of a fireplace with his jaw flapping and his hands in his pockets, I quit watching.addedndum: After looking at it carefully, I do not believe the claim that it warms incoming air in any useful fashion. The AVERAGE temperature inside the snout piece WILL be well above ambient because the average will include exhaled air at about 37°C. But once you have inhaled the approx 100 mL volume of "used" air in the snout, you get ambient air that might be warmed very very slightly by being drawn over a bit of exposed skin. The previously-mentioned add-on piece in the cup I think was intended to be part of a "valve" but in no way functions as such.

Really?
The balaclava was very poorly shaped and the Avenger piece was far to bulky to allow for even remotely adequate comfort levels. The fabric above the Avenger was not large enough to allow the goggles to "seal".
