Super easy install. Good quality
Bought a used double door off the internet. Was worried if it would fit in the slot where old one was missing. Slid right in and works perfectly. Good quality as well.

Perfect fit
My original latch was form-fit-function identical to this part with the exception of the hole location. My original latch lever broke, so I replaced the latch with this one. Rounded top matched the slot in the door. Original was a brass colored/ plated version, but it was chipping and after reading several reviews for similar latches that were block or brass colored, I opted for the satin color thinking there was no coating on the latch. I was right— this should last another 20+ years like the first one

good replacement
I had to use a screw driver or other sturdy tool to slide teh old locks. These work so much better. They are not commercial grade but work 100% better than old slide locks.

Finally!!!
Could not find one that would fit my French doors but this one actually worked. Replaced the bottom one that needed to be replaced due to rust. Then went ahead and replaced the top one because these are better than the manufacturer locks.

Lots of uses for making a space child-friendly
I ordered three of these, and they're all performing great. The mechanism is smooth, solid, and satisfying. The first one I used to turn a hollow-core pre-hung door into a dutch door on the kids play room. (So the top can swing open while the bottom is closed.) The latch is in the top half of the door, and bolts downward into the bottom half, so it doesn't interfere with the knob. It's great, when this is latched, the door behaves like a solid piece, and when it's unlatched it swings freely. I installed this onto the narrow edge, so I had to Dremel off one of the screw holes on the strike plate and epoxy it into place.I used another two to child proof a double-door closet. This was a little harder to install because I put the latches too far in from the hollow-core door's edge, and the router bit was about half in the solid edge of the door and half in the hollow face. That's not a problem with this latch, it's a problem with my planning. :) Anyway, with these finally installed they work great, and coordinate nicely with the brass knobs.

Just like the originals
Even though this is the 3rd or 4th I have replaced. They go right in and work without much hassle. The level could use a design change. They rot and break after several years. Regardless, working as original and I am happy.

Helps to Harden Security Posture
Replaced original flush bolts on outward opening french doors. The older hardware is typically 6 3/4 in length and these are just under 7-in so we did have to modify the track slightly to install, but it was very easy and well worth it. The width was perfect. There is a new hack by thieves who have figured out how to just slide the older flush bolts down with simple tools, allowing a secured door to be easily opened. These are the ones that just have an indent for your finger to either pull down or push up to unlock the door at the top or bottom. The tools easily fit in the 1/4 inch opening between the two doors. I was shocked when I saw the videos showing this on Youtube. We looked for a solution to avoid this vulnerability and found these smaller flush bolts with lever. It doesnt fix all vulnerabilities but every little bit helps. They arrived quickly and are very good quality!
