Did exactly what I needed it to, cheap as wellGood quality item and worked fine

Really excellent, simple and very effective when used correctly. Don't think that it will be effective in bright ambient light, no strobe will. The inductive pickup is very easy to use and works very well. It comes in a stout card box with clear instructions in real English. Distributed by Draper, located in Chandlers Ford near Southampton.Replacement tubes are available from Draper, which is excellent. All Xeon tubes deteriorate with time. Not having to discard the whole unit when this happens is a refreshing and welcome change. I have purchased many tools from Draper in my lifetime and never been disappointed. I'm pleased to say that this continues with my latest purchase.

Only used once so far, to set timing on 1972 mgb roadster. Worked perfectly well, just lost one star because the leads weren't long enough to reach the battery, which is in a compartment behind the seats, so I had to borrow my neighbour's jump leads to extend them.

As others have mentioned in reviews you may need a positive extension lead from the positive side of battery to operate in engine bay, as the leads are too short to reach on their own.

A useless piece of equipment, it does not work. I thought that Draper was a reputable brand and better than Chinese equivalents. Sadly it is junk, avoid at all costs!!

This is a good basic cheap xenon timing light. Sensible HT pick up devise that clamps over HT lead rather than the in-line connection that you find on some other makes. Strobe is bright enough to use in daylight, and can be replaced (part number listed on the box). Only down side is that the casing would probably not sustain too much rough handling (bought this unit to replace a more expensive Gunson unit that did not survive a drop to the workshop floor (casing broke as well as strobe bulb - which did not appear to be easily replaceable). Rubber case would be better, but obviously more expensive to produce. I generally like Draper stuff, they probably have a good testing proceedure for the items they offer.

La compré por todas las ventas que había tenido y las buenas valoraciones, la verdad es que he acertado, he puesto a punto el avance del encendido de mi Ford fiesta mk1 sin problema, mejor hacerlo en un garaje sin la luz del día para ver los destellos mejor, la durabilidad de la lámpara ya no sé porque no le he dado mucho uso todavía, pero me ha funcionado bien y los materiales de la pistola se ven muy bien, muy contento con la compra.

Bien entendu, ce n'est pas un outil professionnel, mais pour un usage occasionnel il semble parfaitement adapté.Emballage sympathique, notice succinte mais comportant l'essentiel.Fonctionnement très simple, avec une gachette de contact qui permet de n'utiliser le tube à éclats que le temps de la mesure ce qui l'économise grandement: Auparavant, j'avais un pistolet stroboscopique d'une autre marque qui fonctionnait dès sa mise sous tension, et le tube n'a pas duré bien longtemps de ce fait. Il n'y aura pas ce souci avec celui-ci.Le constructeur donne les références pour un tube de rechange, sur l'emballage, c'est appréciable.Bonne luminosité du tube à éclats permettant le réglage du point d'avance même en plein jour.Les fils de connexion sont de bonne longueur.Outils simple et efficace, qui rendra de bons services à l'amateur.
