I couldnt put the book down
I strongly urge all women to buy this book, I couldnt put it down. Pamela is so bravely honest about her life and writes as if your talking to your best friend one on one. I found myself going on a journey with her in this book. For those who need to know how hot Mick Jagger was calm down its in there but theres so much more to this woman. Her positive vibrant spirit jumps out at you within these pages, a spirit that as you read the book your drawn to and you just want her to keep writing more. Pamela is so very creative in her writing she makes you feel every ounce of her experience. In this book you can really relate to her in so many ways and we can all gain by her positive strength and spirit. Pamela shines a white light, a light that will leave you wanting more. This is a must read, you'll enjoy every moment, every page every word and even though Pamela has led a limelight life you can still relate to her as a woman on a journey. I couldnt put it down and Im a hard cookie to crack. I cant wait for her write again.

And the beat goes on
Unlike her first book, this one was far more frantic and grounded, just like her life. No longer the faery groupie with flowers in her hair, Miss Pamela marries her rock'n'roll dream and finds out so much of that dream was just myth and fantasy with no substance (maybe a lot of substance abuse only). She shows the reality of being the Mrs. to a rock guy. And yet she is able to communicate that even though he didn't turn out to be the magical prince she thought all rock gods are, she was able to continue to love him. Even after they break apart she loves him. Plus she now ha a son (who sounds like he may be an aspergers syndrome child) to raise. I think she gave far too much credit for her survival and getting through the rabbit hole intact to all that mysticism hocus pocus rather then crediting her own self, her resourcefulness, her determination to somehow make a living just to provide for her son--which kind of disturbed me (that she seems not to realize that she did it herself, it wasn't magic nor the way the stars laid out or something). And like most women who love themselves, she has a gang of strong women survivor friends who are there through all the husbands, boyfriends, ups and down. It is also nice to know that as she's grown up and is now a mature woman, she has continued to love the music and those that make it, and she continues to find her stairway to heaven through writing. She let's you peek at the soft underbelly of the world of the women who marry into rock. It was also gratifying to finally hear her admit (unlike most of the other groupies who have written stuff) that she was hurt and angry when one of her past rock idols said some scathing things about groupies; where would he be without groupies?

Candid and refreshing.
Loved it. Miss P does not disappoint when rounding out the lives of those around her. You almost feel like you might just know them too! Candid about the anxiety of having a child with special needs, and the worries of giving them the best possible opportunities. Open with her heartache of divorce. She reminds us that everyone still has dreams and its okay to actively pursue them while slouching through the mundane crap of everyday life. And to keep on smiling and looking for the positives! She managed to touch a place in my heart I thought long gone.

Just OK
Read her first book "I'm With the Band" which was really interesting. This book is ok, but mainly focuses on her marriage and child, which is no more fascinating than anyone else's, to be honest. A few big names sprinkled in but not as celebrity weighted as the first book.

All that...and so much more!
I just finished this book...it is my favorite of hers. After getting to know her and her style of writing in her other wonderful books, this one takes you deeper into her personal life as a mother to Nick, and wife to Marquis Michael Des Barres, as well as coming out of her shell as a newly single mom in the aftermath of her divorce. Her detailed accounts and the sweet human way she writes made me feel like I was a sister she was chatting with and advising along my way. Her shining soul and freedom-loving spirit make this a warm, friendly, and sometimes quite juicy time-well-spent!

Interesting follow up
I enjoyed her first book more. However it was cool to read how her life went on after the 'groupie' grew up, got married, and had a son. The first book was more if a page turner, but Pamela is a good writer and the thoughtful hindsight she applies to her life experiences are fun to read. Plus you witness her growth first hand. And like her first work it's always cool to be reminded that famous musicians and actors are mortals.
