PHIVELK-2 Architect Desk Lamp with Metal Swing Arm, Dimmable Workbench Lamp (4 Lighting Modes, 6 Brightness Levels), Eye-Caring Architect Task Table Light, Clamp on Desk Light for Office, Drawing

I wanted to replace a VERY OLD (from the 1960's!!!) Luxo Architect's Task Desk Lamp that has two 15" fluorescents with a new light-weight LED lamp. I just felt it was about time :-) -- even though the old lamp STILL works just fine. Considering the four different lighting temperatures, sliding touch brightness control, and full articulation of the arm and head, with a bit of research I decided on the PHIVE. I really like this lamp now that I've been using it for a few weeks. Even though the exposed part of the lamp head is only about 7-1/2" long (compared to the 15" fluorescents), the new LED technology still throws off a comparable amount of light over the same area. I'm not having any trouble with the arms staying in whatever position I place them, and although it has been mentioned by some that the head cannot be twisted to throw light straight up toward the ceiling, I discovered that with some creative positioning of the arms and head, it is possible to accomplish that goal (I used to shine the old Luxo up to the ceiling to get a bounce effect). I also like that there is a master on/off switch on the power cable. The fact that the on/off and mode touch controls stay blue-lit whenever power is supplied to the lamp doesn't bother me. I only have two negative comments. The first is that there is a little bit of jiggle of the lamp post in the table bracket, even though there are some rubber grommets around the shaft to keep it snug. Second, and I didn't notice it until a few days had gone by, but the wiring cable feeding into the lamp head has a slight "slit" on it (and a tiny mark of wear next to it) (see photo, marked in red). There don't appear to be any wires exposed, at least for now, but I don't know how long that will last -- I suppose it depends on how many times the cable is flexed back and forth, back and forth, until that slit starts to possibly get bigger. In most cases, I keep the lamp head pretty much where it is anyway, or I move it only a slight amount to adjust where I want to throw the light. Regardless of those two items, I'm very pleased with this LED task lamp.

I love this lamp! It's exactly what I needed!🥰🥰👌--> However, because my artist/drafting table is in front of a huge window at my house sometimes I feel like the light from the lamp isn't that bright... (I'm sure its just from the sunlight coming in from the window "masking" it 😅 but worth sharing jic)-->It was very easy to install and move to different spots on my table if I wanted a change; with all the rotation it gives you and the freedom to move the head of the lamp around, I really don't need too.--> It has deffinetly made it easier for me to work on my drawing and paint, especially because my living room does not have a light on the ceiling, this gives me so much light when the sun isn't around i no longer have to strain my eyes or use 5 different lamps around the room for adequate light.😆😁😁Would absolutely recommend!! ❤💫

My review below was posted on 10.2.2017, and was noted as a 4 star. Phive saw it and contacted me on 10.3 to promptly rectify the problem with a very kind and generous solution. I read several months ago that Phive's customer service was excellent, which they clearly proved yesterday. Their customer service is my reason for now giving this lamp and Phive a 5 star rating. I definitely recommend others consider Phive and their lighting products.Thank you.Nice lamp with good lighting and quality. The soft white mode is a too yellow for me, and the next mode is too white for soft white. The only concern - the small cable from the base to the lamp for height control arrived "frayed" at the middle joint, with 3-4 strands of the cable sticking out, which I found when a couple of the strands stuck into my finger, when setting up the lamp. I cut the strands off leaving only a little now sticking up (photo). Hopefully, that cable won't break the rest of the way through anytime soon. The Phive CL-1 I bought a few months ago, I think I like better because it cost less and has less bells and whistles.Thank you.

This is my new desk lamp.It replaced a P.O.S. product from IKEA, that looked like it would be good, but wasn't.Phive looked like it would be better, and it IS. A LOT better.The evenness and quality of the light it produces is better, the ease of adjusting the brightness and color temperature of the light is *excellent*, the ease and smoothness of adjusting the position of the lamp head is excellent.The position of the controls is intelligent, as is the design and padding of the base clamp. Having a clamp-on base, for me, is GREATLY preferable to a bulky, clumsy weighted base.In fact, the ONLY thing I can think of that I would prefer is 2-4 more inches length on the upper arm and forearm of the lamp.I only gave it a 4/5 on durability because I haven't had it long enough to say it's a 5/5, but it looks like it will end up there.

Been using it for a year now. Surprisingly good. It feels sturdy and the control is good. Light is good. For a desk lamp, quit bright enough. The only minor complaint would be that the touch control is a bit too sensitive. When turning it on, my hand accidentally touches the brightness control also. But it's quick and easy to change. Just a minor gripe. Will probably buy this again, but hoping this lamp to last quite a few years.

I purchased through Amazon August 2018. I love the lamp which I use at my desk. One of the sections broke, last month, and I reached out to the company in the hopes they had a replacement part. I received a very fast reply (within 24 hours) apologizing that they did not offer that part, but if I provided my Amazon order number that they would send me a complete new light. I did as instructed, and received the new complete light within a week.Absolutely AMAZING experience! I don't over review stuff, but I had to today as they earned my respect.Well Done "Emily from PHIVE"!!

The lamp work good, but no is bright enough for what I want, I give just one star because the company have a very bad customer services, first, never show a real information on amazon about delivery information, then when I email to proceed with the return steps tuck days to have a responce from them and they respond only because amazon intervent and when finally I have the tag to return the company told me I beed to pay 15 CAD shipping. On resume, the lamp are nice and good but no for what I need but I don’t recomend buy from this company because will take time to you try to have a solution from them, to me only was work when amazon be in the middle.
