Kahtoola Quad Microspikes
Top class item, have used the earlier version for several years which also rate 5 stars.Buying these from a company in America meant waiting 2 weeks for delivery which bore a German postmark but these were far cheaper than any other advertised site, came in the correct box with a Tote sack so well pleased with this purchase.Used for fell walking in the Lake District when snow and ice are on the fells, no other item can match these, highly recommended.

Great product
I bought the original product for my wife and daughter a few years ago. They have worked well when we have had to leave the car and for dog walks on icy paths. Mine have worked brilliantly this year as a talisman. No ice since I bought them☺️

The Kahtoola Quad Microspikes are great, and the best there is
I bought these for my husband who is in Greenland. He tried different snow spikes for his winter boots but they did not last long before falling off the shoes. The Kahtoola Quad Microspikes are great, and the best there is. Highly recommend.

Does the job for walking on ice on winter trails
This is the second pair I have bought - in a larger size to fit snow boots. They do a really good job as mini crampons when walking on ice. Great to have in your winter hiking pack for when you come across patches of ice on walking trails. Note these are NOT For mountaineering winter walking/ climbing.

Excellent quality & do the job that they’re designed for.
These are brilliant! Bought these for our trek in Nepal for use on glaciers & they did the job with ease. Easy to take on & off, secure on most boots & walking shoes. The rubber harness is very well made & looks like it will last. Far better than the ‘spring’ type ones that disintegrate during hard use. These come in a carry bag. More expensive than others on the market but you get what you pay for. No point having something that lets you down when you need them most. These are a fixture in my Bergen during Winter in the hills in the Lakes or Scotland. Had them 3 years now & they are still solid as a rock. Remember, these are not a substitute for proper crampons. These are for hiking & not climbing..

Really handy bit of kit
I took these on a resent trekking trip to the Himalayas and for what I needed they worked perfectly well. Very happy with this purchase.

These are great
Had previously bought a cheap pair of crampons that were clunky and the chair tore through the rubber so they went in the garbage. This pair are sleek, easy to walk on and have reinforced eyelets to prevent chains from tearing out of the rubber. I’ve been on a couple 5 k winter hikes and they were excellent at biting into the ice without being bulky. Super easy to walk in. Highly recommend.

I can walk on any surface with complete confidence
I am very happy with this purchase. I often go walking in the woods with my dog and had been having issues with ice. I slipped and fell a few times on ice patches that were hidden beneath a thin layer of snow. Worse than falling was when I almost fell but caught myself, wrenching my back or knee in the process. Ice is especially a problem on hills. Since I got these spikes, I can walk on any surface with complete confidence using my normal gait. I don't even bother walking around ice patches anymore.I normally wear these with my hiking boots, which look similar to the boots in the picture on Amazon. They slip on and off easily, about the effort required to put on a pair of socks. If I need to walk on pavement to cross a street, I usually take them off. They are very comfortable when walking on dirt, leaves, ice, and snow. I don't feel the spikes at all. Occasionally, when I walk on a hard surface for an extended period of time, such as crossing a frozen pond, I start to feel the spikes on my feet, so I would guess that these might become less comfortable to wear if you were to use them on solid ice for an extended period of time (like ice-fishing).I have had these for almost a year now. I have worn them about 25 times. So far, no signs of premature wear and tear.Update: I have had these for three years now, and used them through parts of four winters, probably about 100 walks in the woods (no hard-core hiking). The rubber harness on one of them recently broke. It did not break where the chain is attached to the harness, which seems to be pretty well reinforced, it is in the middle of the strap between two chains on the side of the shoe. I fixed it using a zip-tie attached to the two chains, so I am keeping them for now. The metal parts are still like new and there has been no rusting. Still happy with my purchase, but given that these are priced more than double the other similar looking brands, I can't help wondering if the cheaper brand might be a better value. I was partly sold by reviews from people who had them for 6 years, so I am disappointed that mine only lasted 3 years.

Easy to use and reliable
I bought microspikes as a gift for my son. I already own a pair. They are easy to put on and work well. I wanted my son to have spikes I feel confident will perform.
