Avoid, they wear out after 5 months and leak like crazy
These bottles have a gimmick where they are supposed to avoid pressure building to reduce reflux. Whether this works or not I have no idea. What I do know, having about 10 of these bottles, that after about 5-6 months every single one leaks excessively during most feeds. I have only cleaned them as instructed in the Dr. Brown bottle sterilizer. A quick search will find tons of recommendations on how to fix this leaking problem, none of which work, and only shows further evidence that this is a widespread problem. Generally the advise is that the kid is on โtoo tightโ causing pressure building and making it leak. What is actually going on, I think the rubber stopper in the bottle has just worn out and the only option would be to replace. I definitely will not be using these bottles if there is another baby in our future.

So far so good!
My wife and I had been doing research and looking for a good baby bottle that helps with gas issues. Originally we started out with Phillips Avent bottles that we got for free as samples. They seemed to work well, but we both noticed that as the baby drank, air bubbles would visibly start forming in the milk. I didn't like this so I decided to make the switch to Dr. Browns since many review we read noted the reliability of the original Dr. Browns. I wanted something wider and in glass so the new Options Wide Neck glass bottles seemed to be the right choice. I can say, so far they've worked as described. No more air bubbles in the milk as he drinks. Perhaps the only downside is that there are more parts to clean, but that's not a big deal for us. Also, so far we have only encountered leaks when we didn't tighten the cap all the way. Other than that it has never leaked for us.

Do NOT buy
Do NOT buy dr browns bottlesโ they leak!! Like crazy!! My poor son was always dirty from spilled milk all over him! No matter how tight you put the lid on, or if u took vent straw & lid off during warming- these bottles are aweful! I bought comotomo brand instead & my son hasnt spit up NEAR as much. He also loved the bottles & took to them even tho he had been 5 months on dr. Browns. The original bottles didnt leak as bad. But i still reccommend comotomo- i can actually throw them in my diaper bag & dont have to be overly paranoid if my back pack tips over. (The dr. Browns will leak all the milk onto babies stuff. ) but comitomo, i throw it in my diaper bag & even if it was upsode down, (with cap on) does not leak.

Excellent choice
We bought the glass bottles out of concerns of overusing plastic for our baby and found the glass bottles to be super useful. They are easy to handle and clean and leak-proof. I have come to like the Dr. Brown's brand in general and would recommend it for feeding needs. One issue we faced with glass bottles is they could get really hot when heated so a sleeve is a must - also much safer to handle with a sleeve on. Some day-cares don't accept glass bottles so check with yours in case you plan to buy these to make sure you can actually use them at the daycare.

Brown and they were wonderful! Which lead me to believe that these would ...
Ok so I have had the original glass bottles by Dr. Brown and they were wonderful! Which lead me to believe that these would be too. But they are just okay. One thing I don't like is that these are the hardest bottles to refill and use the same day. Because none of the pieces of the bottle make a real seal after milk has been in the bottle.. its as though if you need to refill you need to get a brand new clean bottle out! Which is hard to do when you have a very upset one year old! Not happy with the over all bottle but one thing that is better is the nipple. Its softer and easy for them to latch too. Also I like that it is US made. Over all I would buy a different bottle if I had a choice again..

Great bottle for avoiding gas bubbles
My baby really likes the nipple on these bottles. The doctor brown style has helped avoid gas bubbles in the belly that create a fussy baby. He was not a happy baby while using Avent bottles. My only critique is that I wish that the bottle leaked less. If you are not careful to tighten the lid as tight as possible, you stand a chance of slightly leakage. I have bought several of these from Amazon though, and am overall satisfied with my purchase, and him please to have a bottle options made with glass.

Great all-around...
I like those because my baby boy does. The wide nipple is much more natural and in turn it helps him get the right amount of nipple to fit into his mouth to get a strong latch (the way he would with a natural brest). The vent system, although slighty cumbersome to clean is very effective. I clean it right after feeding and use the included brush. My boy has hardly any gas at all, and is colic free.
