Melissa & Doug 4-in-1 Game Rug

I recently purchased three of these rug games for my grandchildren who live in different states and every family loves this game. The rug is excellent quality, has a nice soft feel and a nonskid backing. Game pieces are large and round--yellow on one side and black on the other. I played with two sets of grandchildren who were k through second grade and they were happily mastering checkers to try and beat their parents! It rolls up easily to store back in its original box. I am very happy with this family game and would not hesitate to purchase more if the occasion arises.

Love this product and kids love it too! Looks great in a kids room.

Grand daughter, (age5), loves it!! She was really excited to learn how to play checkers! Of course she had to make the rug her own games... like hop scotch. So much fun watching her make the games her own!! :)

We haven't taken the time to learn the two additional games, but my 6 year old loves tic-tac-toe and also desperately wanted a checker board and I thought this would be a fun addition to our play room that wont take up room on our game shelf. The checkers are cardboard, so I don't expect them to last long. I expected Melissa & Doug to send wooden pieces that would last like many of their other products. The rug is good quality, but I'm pretty sure the game pieces will need to be replaced eventually.I'd love to see Melissa & Doug offer chunky wooden chess pieces to use with this set.Update: My dogs ran across this with muddy paws and I learned that it’s machine washable! I hung it to dry and it looks great! 🎉

My kids all ADORE this game rug! What’s better to enjoy on a rainy day or when you’re stuck at home for whatever reason, and the TV and/or video games have gotten to be way too prevalent?!The game pieces are lightweight for little hands, and durable enough to last a while. The carry case for the game pieces is a nice added bonus! What sold me to begin with was that another reviewer mentioned the rug is machine washable, and it definitely is durable enough to be washed.

This seems like a good product and I expect my grandchildren will enjoy it. The rug seems of good quality and is heavy enough to unroll and lie flat. My only problem with this product is that the box clearly states the game pieces are made of wood, and I found that the game pieces in my package are made of cardboard.

I purchased this for the Elementary ages kids at my Church and it has been a great addition to the classroom! Easy clean up for our portable church!

Our 5-year-old daughter loves this play mat. She asks to play with it all the time! We got it for a birthday party (two months ago), to keep the kids occupied, and it has remained a favorite.
