We have used this about 10 times since purchasing. It is heavy, appears high quality, cooks evenly, and is easy to take care of. Very happy with this purchase.

I knew that using a heavy cast iron griddle without raised handles on a ceramic cooktop would need care, but it has worked out well. I want to cook only on the smooth side, so there's no risk of old grease from the bottom side dripping onto the ceramic glass. It's also important to prevent scratches from the rough cast iron by sanding the edges smooth where they come into contact with the glass.Before first use, I sanded the smooth cooking surface before initial seasoning and that makes it much easier to use and clean. There are lots of videos on how to do this. Then I seasoned the pan with a thin coat of grapeseed oil. 'Thin' is the key word here. Wipe a little oil on the pan and then wipe off all you can with a microfiber cloth. Bake in the oven at 200 deg. for 10 minutes, then 300 deg. for 10 minutes. If there is any liquid oil wipe it carefully from the now hot pan and return to the oven at 400 deg. for one hour. Leave the oven closed and let cool completely.The pan worked perfectly from its first use -- see photo.You'll also want to let the pan cool completely after each use before trying to pick it up off the ceramic glass.

This is a great buy. I am rating as only a 4 because I think it would be helpful to have a lid as I used this on my gas stove top because it was raining outside and a lid would have been helpful. It will be perfect when using it on the grill.

I wanted this to cook meat and veggies in a grilled fashion with out adding a grill to my camp equip.

Heavy cast iron. Great for using on the grill while not so big it takes up the grilling area.

It works ok but after heating it up it twisted a little so it no longer lays flat.

The quality is great it gets hot fast
