HARIOV60 Glass Coffee Dripper, Size 01, Olive Wood

I’ve been using a chemex-style brewer for the last year, and realized that 90% of the time I am just brewing for one cup anyway. I got this Hario V60 and love the glass and wood—it feels of good quality. Its also durable—I dropped it out of a cabinet by mistake and not a scratch, chip, or dent (but i might have been lucky)!This comes apart very smartly. There is a very wide rubber gasket that is almost the full radius of the wood. The gasket (that is nicely branded with H A R I O capital letters) tension fits into an indentation in the wood. The glass filter holder inserts securely into the gasket, and rests on the wood.The heat or steam of the coffee won’t affect or warp the very thick wood because the gasket is actually what is in contact with the cup, not the wood or much of the glass really.I am very happy with this very premium-feeling part of my daily morning routine.

The easy clean-up makes me reach for this often, especially since I usually only want 1 cup at a time. I'm annoyed that I didn't try pour over sooner. I'm going to get another one for the office, so I can skip the K-CUPs.

The media could not be loaded. Will update once it’s used but it’s very sturdy and a beautiful design. Easy set up and the size is perfect for 2person.

The wood looks lovely but moisture gets inside and it is tedious to remove and replace plastic after every use. We no longer use the wood part, just the black plastic piece.

Initially a great product that made great coffee similar to other V60 products. The clear glass and olive wood gave a classy look that I really liked. Unfortunately, the adhesive holding the silicone to the wood failed after less than a year of intermittent use making the product nearly impossible to use. Although it was well past the 90-day warranty, I contacted Hario customer support for suggestions and never heard a word.

I had one with the plastic base but the plastic cracked for some reason. This one has a thick wood base, a rubber mount in the center, and the cone pops out for cleaning. Looks great and I expect it to last a long time.

Looks great, works well , and cleans easily.. Item is exactly as described. I ordered the smallest size, size one, and it is perfect for making one cup of coffee.
