I use this mostly for my toddler at the table during meal times and when he's playing with his PlayDoh and it is fantastic. It's a very large mat and cleans up really easily. It is on my wooden table and doesn't slide around, and it really helps with keeping suction cup plates/bowls in place.

I liked the size & colour of this mat. It's brightness makes it easy to see what you are working on easily. Silicone, colour & size as described. It's easy to clean & arrived at my home quickly.

I have used the small rubbery pads for holding items in place for years. Unfortunately. it's become difficult to purchase them thick enough anymore; the pads sold today are thin and not adhesive enough. This mat is the thickness I remember and prevents things from slipping.I have cut up this mat for two purposes: 1 to line two smaller cookie sheets (the stickiness is not relevant for this purpose). The material is easy to cut and I was able to trim it to exact measurements. It heats fine and can be wiped off or thrown in the dishwasher.2. I am using the left over piece on my counter for counting out meds - the bottles and pills don't roll away.Very happy with this mat. I would consider buying more in the future to cut to size for the bottoms of dishes or other items I don't want rolling around.

I've been becoming more of a fan of silicone mats over the last year, not only because they are more durable than other mats, but they are just so versatile.This mat is super thin, which I think is a good thing in most cases. One side is very shiny while the other more of a matte finish. I keep the shiny side down as it holds better to surfaces.Because it's silicone, you can use this safely with food, and you can also use it with hot items in the kitchen or with crafts (i.e. glue gun).It's pretty to clean, but I will say that it can become a magnet for pet fur and small dirt particles that are hard to simply wipe off because they stick the silicone.If I had one wish, it would be for some kind of lip or edge around this mat to stop liquids from spilling over. When using it for crafts, things can spill over too easily.That said, I'm very happy with this mat. It's perfect for more than just a few things, and I may end up lining several surfaces with more :)
