If undersized it is not the right fit, you can match it by taking the original stem to Home Depot to find the right stem. Once you find the right fit make sure keep the pack so you will know which stem to buy in the future.

Q: What knob fits this stem?

Thank you for your interest Danco products. Direct fit handles that will fit the Danco 2C-14H/C, product number 17423E, would be Danco handles that have a "C" broach type. You could use Danco Universal handles also. Most universal handles we offer will come with adapters, that includes the "C" broach type to work for your application

Q: i have this stem, but dont' know what kind of knobs to buy? will any knob work or do i have to buy a certain size? i also need the plate thing too

Your need to find the brand of your faucet and buy a knob that fits that brand. There are also universal knobs but they are not as secure as one that is made for the stem.

Q: Is the stem the same for both hot and cold sides?
