Excellent Game
This is so good. Trekking The World is an excellent game. Once you've learnt where all the parts go, it's quick to set up. Quality parts, lovely pictures and board. Well worth the money. We also liked Trekking Through History - another great game from Underdog games!

Family fun
Slightly over complicated in some aspects but when played as a collecting and destination visiting game it was easily grasped by my 6 year old granddaughter. Enjoyed a couple of games now and it’s speed of play and ability to win via different strategies make it a good game. Ticket to Ride still top of our family game night preference though.

Best game ever!!!
I luckily stumbled across this game when looking for a fun but educational family game. It is exceptional.Yes it takes awhile to get a grips of the game but after playing it for 10 minutes you soon work the game out. We as a family have loved Ticket to Ride for years but I would go as far as saying that this is better. There are more ways to score points and the scoring system itself is easier to navigate.Had the game at Christmas and have played it multiple times already. Every time we get a different winner and the game is never played the same twice.Added bonus is that our kids are learning about geography at the same time. Many of the places featured on the game are new to our kids. Not new any more. They know exactly where to look on the map for the destination.Would give it 6 out of 5 if I could.

Amazing
One of the best games we have played. I highly recommend watching "how to play video" - the rules are very well explained, I've watched it once by myself and second time with my children and then I've guided them during our first game. My 9 and 12 yo were able to plan their strategies by themselves in the second time we've played.Design and quality are immaculate, such a high quality, the best we have seen so far from all the board games we have. There are a few ways to earn points in this game, and we don't know who is winning until the game ends, which makes the game exciting until the end.As for the destination places, you can make as little or as much you want of these. We have visited a few of these, and haven't seen most of them, and these are good stops for discussions. I also think it helps my younger one with understanding the world map better and where things are. This is our favourite game at the moment, very happy with the purchase.

Great family game
Great game. Have played as a duo, trio and quad. All times it's been a great game to play. Played with various family members and now there's a copy on every household. Easy to play.

Fabulous family fun!
Went through how to play instructions online which was worthwhile. There’s quite a bit to learn but after the first game when you’re working things out, it’s all pretty clear and easy. Played with husband and two older teenage kids. Quality is great. Well put together and lovely design work. Great strategic game with lots of opportunity to streak ahead or hinder your opponent! Takes about an hour and a half to play so doesn’t go on for days! Welcome addition to our board games.

Beautiful art, underwhelming game
This game's theme is brilliant, the production value and art quality is stellar, the box insert is really tidy, and overall it is a joy to behold. Beautiful vibrant colours, wonderful artistic renditions of some of the most gorgeous places on earth. Perfect family theme for nearly all ages. What's not to like??My family and I really were excited to play this game - but we found ourselves a little underwhelmed. Firstly the setup is fairly time-consuming, needing to populate the board with tons of cubes, lay out cards correctly, and ensure everything is accessible and within reach to players. Secondly the rules are fairly complex and fiddly - learning to play is quite slow, teaching is quite slow, and there are a lot of different systems to the game that need to be grasped in order to develop a winning strategy (or change your strategy if somebody beats you to a spot you wanted). My 8 and 10 year olds are great at games, but found their excitement waning as the game plowed on. Third I would say that while the theme is really, really strong (and is what actually carries the game itself), it doesn't fit particularly cleanly with the actual rules. While the idea of collecting souvenirs, memories, and taking tours is evocative and exciting - the reality of 'trade 3 red and 2 green cards for Mount Fuji' is a bit dry. If I'm already at Mount Fuji, why can't I just take a tour there? Why do I have to wait for a specific combination of colours? What are those cards even supposed to represent? While it is clearly a design decision of the producers _not_ to have a money system in the game (perhaps as a comment that you don't have to have a lot of money to travel, or that trekking the world is not just for the wealthy), it does leave something of a hole in the players decisions. If I have a limited resource (time, travel distance, plane/train tickets?) then the interesting choices become how I will best use what I have. This is fun for kids because they can just say 'I don't really care about winning, I just want to get a BOAT TO THE VOLCANO!' and they find joy in their own volition. This game finds itself restricting you in the choices you can make by the colours of cards you randomly draw. It attempts to mitigate this somewhat by the power cards, but this feels more like a bolted-on extra system to modify/fix a basic tenet which doesn't really hold together particularly strongly.Don't get me wrong, this game is quite fun, and the overall presentation and idea behind it is really really evocative and gorgeous. But the underpinning idea tries to draw from ticket to ride, but because it is a slower and less simple game, it ends up getting a bit stodgy and restrictive. We'll probably give away or trade away our copy - or perhaps I may cannibalize the gorgeous, GORGEOUS board and cards for a rework of the rules...
