12in bully sticks that come in a wide variety of sizes
There were 7 bully sticks in our bag and these bags are sold by weight so this may vary from order to order. Some were nice and thick and some were super thin but they were all at least 12 in long. The bag they came in is massive compared to the contents but it does have a Ziploc-style closure making it resealable. These claim to have "no chemicals or preservatives or additives" but they are coated in something and leave an oily residue and particulate matter behind when you handle them. I have never had bully sticks that have had this issue before and I am not sure if it's left over from processing or if something has been added but not labeled. The residue from handling the sticks also left a noticeable odor behind on my hands which is unusual for an unchewed stick straight out of the bag. These are also not a uniform/smooth texture like the ones pictured in their ads. The smell is about what I would expect for bully sticks, though. My dogs love bullies and get them regularly but they were not as enthusiastic about these for some reason.I give these 3 stars because they're very different to all other bully sticks we have had and the residue has me wondering what it could possibly be from. The dogs just didn't care for them very much, either. If you find this review to be informative and helpful please click the "helpful" button below.

My Siberian Huskies *love* these
Want to see a *very* happy dog? Watch the dance my Siberian Huskies do when I give them a bully stick. One of them immediately takes his out to the yard and dances around it for a few minutes before he starts chewing. The other, once his brother has vacated the house, will drop the stick, come over and nuzzle affectionately with you, and then go off to enjoy his stick. Both of my Siberians are heavy chewers. They can go through a 6" stick in about 10 minutes. I give them these if I'm going out for a long period of time or if they have done something that deserves a special reward. (Siberian Huskies are the original food-hounds, so they are *always* rewarded with food. But bully sticks are their favorite.)These are not particularly cheap. I have never found any that are cheaper though. At least bully sticks that I would give to my fur kids. These are made in the USA and are a much, much better alternative to rawhide. They do help with tartar build up on their teeth, though my dogs go through these pretty quickly.

Natural, unadulterated pizzle sticks with a strong odor
These 'bully sticks' are beef pizzles (dried penises). Common dog treat, though that might make some people squeamish. They are about 6" long, with some variance due to their natural state. They've been dried to what I'll call typical stiffness - like most other all-natural animal products (ears, snouts, hooves, what have you). The dogs all enjoyed them, but be warned - THEY SMELL. The odor right out of the bag is very strong, albeit again typical for similar animal products (think a bit stronger than lamb lung) and if your pup has longer hair on the muzzle, be prepared for him/her to smell exactly like this treat for a while, especially if his/her fur is wet.I'm not a big fan of many of of this type of product simply because of the smell. However, that's a personal issue, and if you're cool with it, your dogs will love them. Just remember that dogs, left to their own devices, are actually really messy and gross despite their overwhelming lovability.

Dog left them behind
When it first arrived on a hot day in August, the package was stinky so I moved it out of the room and into the pet container right away. Some dog treats smell nice like beef jerky, while others (like this one) have a more “natural” stinky hunted prey smell.Does the dog like these sticks? At first, our border collie eagerly chewed on the first one I gave her. She seemed to love it (as shown in this photo). But then she left it behind half chewed. A few days later the two sticks (1 full stick untouched and 2nd one chewed halfway) were till sitting in the grass. This is unusual because she usually eats ALL chew sticks that I give her. There is something about these bully sticks that she does not like, maybe the bag was spoiled. I threw away the rest of the bag.
